"Great for a one night spot on our trip. Vault toilets no water but easy close to highway Palmetto trail is close as well for an easy hike/walk. I suggest starting on the trail on the opposite side of the campground as the trees were bigger and trail much nicer"
"Quaint little campground, no electric or running water. No showers but does have an outhouse that outside of spider webs was clean. Great walking biking or horse trails not much else around. If you like remote or are on a tight budget, this might be a good spot for you."
"Brick House Campground is a quiet, clean campground stuck off in the Sumter National Forest. Sites are pretty close together, but there weren't that many folks there when we went so we were sufficiently spaced out. They do have 2 sets of vault toilets, but we have our own in the camper, so we didn't check them out. Access to the trailhead is a short walk up the road unless you are in one of the outer sites that have direct access. We didn't go far this trip because it was so dang hot! Be forewarned - other than trail hiking there really isn't anything to do or see. Otherwise, it's definitely a quiet spot to enjoy being in the woods."
"The campground was only $5 and well maintained. There are pit toilets to use as well. As for the site, the parking stalls are deep. Very pretty and accessible."
"The price and location of the campground is great. The only issue is that there's nothing barring anyone from taking your spot, regardless of whether you booked ahead or not. We got to our campsite around 5:45 pm to find that someone else setup camp in our allotted space. We asked them about it and they said that the booking app posted at the front of the campground allowed them to book the spot with no issues. Luckily there were other spots available at the campground so we went on the app and booked a different spot. The app only asks you for the space number you want and there's a check box saying something like, "I have checked the spot and there is nobody currently inhabiting it." So I can see how any spot would basically be available on a first come first serve basis even though we booked our spot online 2 weeks ago. Campground was very pretty and secluded and luckily there were open spots but this could have been a problem if the campground was full."
