Reviews of Pulliam Creek Trailhead / Green River Hike In
"This is a trailhead for multiple trails going through the Green River Gamelands. This is the most popular and quickest route to the narrows. There are ropes put in place to assist you going down the narrows. Having done this hike plenty of times, I can tell you that going down isn't the problem, it's getting back up. If you are in shape and hike this will be moderate. If you don't hike regularly or are not in great shape, this will be very difficult. Through the Gamelands there aren't many parking areas. The general rule is you park off the road. Completely off the road. You can get a ticket if you are partially on the road. Drive a litter further, it's not like you can't walk a little further to go for a hike. The narrows are where the Green River Race is held."
"This is a great moderate hike. It's easy going down, but coming back up is harder. You can hear the flowing sound of the stream the whole hike. I followed the Pulliam Creek trail down and back up in just an hour. That includes a 15 min break by the stream at the bottom. There are a few other trails that connect to the Pulliam trail."
"Did this with the kiddos (8,8,10). I loved the hike and the kids did too. The last section down to the narrows was challenging for the kids but they did well. Glad there were ropes for them to use. We got caught in a thunderstorm on our way back, thankfully we had already made it through the scramble section before it started pouring, that could make it more difficult. The rain in the forest was beautiful. Excellent hike, definitely a good workout."
"Extremely strenuous but wonderful hike through the green river narrows. The scale of the gorge is awe inspiring. Be careful on your way down the fixed ropes. Cool crisp mountain air and crystal clear water."
"Been hiking this trail for the Green Race the past 4 years. The trail is a really nice leisurely hike. The split off where the trail heads down to the Green River Narrows is where the hiking/climbing starts. I recommend only hiking within your comfort and experience level and know that what you hike down, you will have to hike up from this split."
