Reviews
"Where do I start. First coming in the ladies aren’t very welcoming. Especially the young lady with the braids fixing the food. I’ve been in Savannah for a month working and reviewing black owned restaurants. I will have to say I’m totally unimpressed. The Mac and cheese was missing the cheese. As you can tell it’s very dry. The Turkey wing was okay. The sweet potatoes…. something was missing along with sweetness. The oxtails has more fat than anything. I wish I could have left a better review however, this was very disappointing. Considering this meal was $35.80! I’d rather go elsewhere and get my moneys worth. I would not suggest this place to no one. Bless it."
"Our family stumbled upon this gem after visiting Old Fort Jackson. Great Southern food, big portions and pleasant ladies behind the counter. Not sure if they were the Sisters. If you get the opportunity give it a try. Oh and there banana pudding is awesome too."
"I ordered the "Soul Rolls" which are known to be very popular. "Guy" attended this restaurant on his show. I was very excited to support the business. UNFORTUNATELY, I was disappointed. They were cooked to order, with no love. VERY GREASY, all the ingredients were falling out because underneath all the rolls, very soggy with oil. You can't even pick it up they fall all too pieces. I didn't go back for a refund. And the purpose of this review is to alert anyone who reads this will know what to expect and the owner to step in and make some changes with staff. This was not a very good representation of your greatness. Also, I purchased 4 cold wings I made the best of it. And 6 soggy soul rolls. I circulated $32 for my oder"
"First time here. It's cafeteria style, which I love. I don't eat meat, so I got the veggie plate. I got the collards, cabbage, red rice and yams. Tried the peach cobbler just because. Everything was excellent. I wish they had some beans (blackeyes, pinto, limas, red). But, I'm not complaining. The pretty young girl who got my food was very polite in explaining things. She was very kind and and friendly. I very much appreciate positive people to go with positive vibes. I ate in. Tsbles are even set up loke cafeteria style. Works for me. Clean. Great chill casual place. They had 90s videos on the TV. Works for me. Hold on some Earth Wind and Fire just came on the TV. Now we talkin. My recommendation, get on off that I-95 and get yourself on in here for some good dinner (or lunch). Something for everyone here."
"We live in Florida and was up north on our way back home .. we craved soul food and let me say this place did not disappoint. The Mac n cheese whiting fish was so delicious 3 bites in my husband had the ribs , oxtails eggrolls collard greens and green beans and i sent my husband back in to order another plate to take home. Although we are almost 6 hrs away.. I would def be taking another drive."
