"Great place. Love the fact that they restored some of the cannons instead of just letting them be while they left areas of the fort structure look natural. Good contrast. They have many story boards around the fort explaining different areas. National Park pass works here."

"A great place to stop and learn some history. The volunteers really do a tremendous job here telling the stories about the Fort. Very easy to navigate around and see all that it has to offer. $10 entry fee but free if you’re current or former military so bring your ID. Also beat to see the huge cargo ships motoring through the channel at the old north pier. Kids will love this place!"

"Fort Pulaski is a great National Monument just outside Savannah. It's deserves half a day of attention and exploration. Try timing your visit to a ranger talk to really appreciate the history and engineering of the fort. The inside of the fort is very open. You're able to explore almost every room including the upper ramparts. Outside the fort is a restroom, visitors center, but the gift shop is inside the fort. There are a few trails outside around the fort near the water front that give the park a little added variety. Spend some time here as it's worth your driving!"

"We were able to get a great deal on our admission price. My mother, who is a senior, bought a National Park Pass for $20, which allows 4 adults to come with her for no additional cost. So, we paid $20 for 5 adults to enter, instead of the $10 each, which would have set us back $50. The fort itself is an incredible opportunity to see an important part of America's history. Be very careful as there is no railing on the top level of the fort. It is a straight drop down, so it probably wouldn't be good for people who have a problem with heights. We really enjoyed our time here and snagged a magnet in the gift shop on the way out. Be aware also that the only bathroom is by the round brick building as you first come in that serves as their Visitor Center."
