Family Dental - Greenville

"I absolutely am so glad I went to see the female dentist ...she was thoroughly professional and so nice. I needed a second opinion and I say everyone should go see her !!! I really like her so much !!!! Scared of dentists but she told me you don’t need what the other dentist office said- you don’t need 3 cavities fixed and you don’t need a root canal or crown...so I am so happy with that. Now the other dentist sent such horrible X-rays that I may have to have something done because I have to go get new X-rays done but I won’t be paying thousands for a crown and root canal. I may need to get a tooth pulled or hopefully it’s nothing or a cavity...but that is much different than what the other dentist said, which incidentally texted me and called me every single day from the one day I let them just do X-rays and look!!! But worse case because same dentist name in different town that tried to cheat me is the same name as the one in Anderson who was hands down the absolute worse as they cost me a tooth -a good tooth I need because of their ignorance....so I am ready to do whatever I need to in order to get my teeth as good as possible because I really can say I didn’t take as good of my teeth when I was a kid because of all the candy and a old injury where my jaw was broken...so if I say a dentist is good- they are beyond great !!! 6 stars !!!"

"I’m very impressed with my lady who does my dentist work. She has a plan set in motion for me and we always talk about it each time. She asks me how I feel about it and she is extremely good at what she does. I know having teeth problems and losing teeth are a hard thing because a smile is everything but the ending result is what we are working towards and she has me very motivated about getting this finished. I like how she talks to me like I’m a friend rather than a patient because it makes me feel more comfortable before a procedure. Also the lady at the front knew my name after the first visit and is super super sweet. I’d have to say the staff is all very kind and down to earth which is what I like most! "I come to update a negative review. I will be honest it is VERY frustrating that I called from 10:05 until 10:15 to see if they took walk ins. Either someone picked up the phone and immediately put me on hold or I got a voice-mail. I drove up there to see the big bold print saying walk ins welcome along with a lit up sign. They do not take walk ins due to being understaffed. I do think they should add that to their website or at the very least add a sign on the door stating that they do not. I also think they should not plug in the neon sign that says they do if they do not. The wait time for me to be taken back wasn't bad. Buttt... my appointment was at 12:30 and I was not seen until about 2 by the doctor. This is also frustrating. Know they are understaffed and this is going to make things take longer. Now I pleased with the care from the staff and the dentists. They are kind and considerate. The very polite. The dentist checked on me throughout my cleaning. He wanted to make sure I was okay and did a great job checking in. I heard him with other patients doing the same thing. I mention this because it really does show that they care but the frustrating things are due to being understaffed. If you make an appointment know that you will likely be there a while but you will receive care from staff that do seem to care and that is important. I would recommend a different dentist if you have better insurance that will pay for another office just because of the wait and convenience. If you have medicaid I would recommend them compared to the other local dentist that accepts medicaid. The new horizon dentist is the other office I found and that place looks like an abandoned building and is scary to even see.. I went in for gum pain and after the cleaning I fully expected to be more sore but my mouth feels way better and my teeth look sooooo much better.thanks family dental for looking out for me today! I hope yall are able to.hire more help to serve the community."
