Reviews of Greer Golf
"I gave 2 stars because there are only 2 good things about this course. 1.)The price. Although even only paying $19 to walk 18 holes felt like too much, it's cheap enough. 2.)The people. Everyone working here is very friendly. The course was a joke. I walked off after 5 holes. The only reason I made it to hole 5 was because it was in the direction of the clubhouse. Out of the 5 holes that I played I encountered 2 pins that were on a ridge. Being winter the greens are faster, but these greens were so thin the ball couldn't stop. (Although there is plenty of small patches of green grass all over the greens to ensure a nice bumpy surface.) On one hole I had a 15ft putt that stopped hole high and rolled back behind me and off the green. I could see the pin on hole #6 as I left and it was about 3 ft from the right hand edge, on another slope. The safe shot left you with a putt that would surely roll off the green, if missed. I believe this was the only time I have ever walked off a golf course because of the conditions. I gave a lot of thought into whether or not to leave a review. Normally I don't leave reviews, but please do not waste your money on this course."
"We were greeted by an angry man on the practice putting green saying that we could not play due to a private event, even though we had reserved a tee time and paid for the tee time. We were not offered a refund and the man who was on the putting green just went inside and ignored us. This humorous excuse for a golf course will not be getting my business anytime soon."
"This is probably one of the nicest courses I have played this year. It is kept up nice, and even now that the grass is going dormant for the winter, it's still a good course. Decent price. One of my issues is that there's no ranger or anyone driving around to keep the flow of play moving. We got stuck today behind a 4some that was hitting 2-3 balls each at a time and slowing down everyone behind them, so that made it hard to enjoy the day. My biggest issue is that they wouldn't even offer any type of discount for Veterans ON Veterans Day. I get it if you don't want to offer it to Veterans during regular times, bc that's your choice as a business, but it's something you guys should consider changing bc it makes a huge difference."
"Step onto the lush fairways and embrace the beautiful game at Greer Golf Club, located in the heart of Greer, South Carolina. This hidden gem of a golf course has caught the attention of our corny yet lovable GOLF analyst, DAD. Known for his hilarious dad jokes and infectious charm, DAD is here to deliver a review that will tickle your funny bone while providing valuable insights into this fantastic golfing destination. As Jay Haas made his way through the picturesque Greer Golf Club, he couldn't help but appreciate the beautifully manicured greens and fairways. It was as if each blade of grass had been meticulously placed by the golf gods themselves. "Hey, did you hear about the golfer who got a hole-in-one? He was so excited that he forgot to yell 'fore' and ended up knocking out the guy in the mini-golf next door!" Kirk chuckled, his infectious laughter echoing through the course. The course layout at Greer Golf Club is a golfing conundrum that keeps players on their toes. With strategically placed water hazards and sand traps, it's like a real-life game of chess. Kirk couldn't help but appreciate the challenge, even though he joked, "Why did the golfer bring two pairs of pants? In case he got a hole in one!" Classic dad humor! The fairways at Greer Golf Club are as smooth as pudding, allowing golfers to glide through their swings. Kirk couldn't resist but quip, "Why did the golfer bring two pairs of socks? In case he got a hole in one!" Oh, Kirk, you sneaky comedian! The course conditions at Greer Golf Club are nothing short of impeccable. The greens roll like a dream, giving every putt a fair chance of finding the bottom of the cup. "Did you hear about the golfer who was so bad at putting? He once missed a two-foot putt and got a 10-stroke penalty for littering!" Kirk chuckled, clearly tickled by his own joke. The staff at Greer Golf Club goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience for every golfer. From the moment you step foot on the course, you're greeted with warm smiles and friendly banter. "Why don't golfers need an umbrella? Because they already know how to swing!" Kirk joked, playfully mimicking a golf swing. The amenities at Greer Golf Club are top-notch, with a well-stocked pro shop and a cozy clubhouse where golfers can relax and relish in their triumphs or commiserate over their near-miss shots. "Why are golfers always so calm? Because they know how to grip and grin!" Kirk quipped, his dad joke game strong as ever. Greer Golf Club is a hidden treasure in Greer, South Carolina, and Kirk Armstria's corny and hilarious review only adds to its charm. With its challenging course layout, impeccable conditions, friendly staff, and top-notch amenities, this golfing haven is a place where laughter and memories are made. So grab your clubs, bring your best dad jokes, and get ready to tee off at Greer Golf Club!"
"This course was amazing to play. The best pricing you’ll ever find, not to mention how beautiful it was. The fairways and greens are in good condition and the course management as well as players constantly fill divots with sand to improve play. The were multiple water hazards on the course that made the round slightly challenging but much more enjoyable. The staff were polite and friendly. If that wasn’t already enough to put this club in the top 3 of the upstate, the drinks available were all low priced. Our group tours around to course all over the upstate of Greenville and Spartanburg, and Greer golf has definitely outshined everyone else in the area."
