Reviews of Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown
"So when we first arrived the toilet was whistling. My husband got it to stop and we thought all was well. We woke up to a puddle in the bathroom. When told the front desk we were told that the toilet must have over flowed and would bring us extra towels. Then there is also only luke warm water for showers. And the fitted sheets do not fit the beds and my husband and I fought all night with trying not to sleep on the bare mattress. This was a horrible experience for my birthday and my husband's first Savannah trip. The least they could have done is give us another room due to the toilet overflowing. They also do not clean rooms very good. The rooms could use a better cleaning. Do not stay here!"
"Rooms are dirty. Like other people's stuff in them dirty. A/C does not work well, and it's only 70 outside, i dont think it would make it in summer. Breakfast is a ripoff $15 bucks for oatmeal. No eggs, no pancakes. They are out, it's 9am. Did I mention the store has been empty since we arrived. The front desk said they don't deal with that. Did I mention that the staff is rude, and in your face. Why, you might be wondering? Well me and my wife and I were sitting and watching football. Not loud, just chill. When the loud moonshine drinkers left, I guess we got to be the staffs punching bag. Nothing against moonshine, but Mason jars are not normal hotel drinking ware, not to mention the liability of it. I will not ever stay here again. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone and it's not even cheap. Hilton should be ashamed of having their name on this building. I've stayed at Hilton around the world, cheap too expensive. This is the worst one."
"The room could have been cleaner as there was hair everywhere, despite their attempt to clean. In addition, the sink and tub had issues with water drainage, causing it to accumulate while showering. The iron cord was broken and self-retracting, making it difficult to use while ironing. Furthermore, the water machine in the gym was not functioning, and some buttons on the treadmill were broken. Although most of the staff was nice, the overall experience started off on a negative note. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel for a stay."
"This is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. I wasn’t expecting much and even then I was disappointed. The service sucked. The rooms didn’t have towels. The housekeeping didn’t even show up to replenish anything. The tv didn’t turn on. We had to use the keys three times every time to open the door. Maybe this is a Hilton thing, but they only provide free bottled water to their members. But don’t bother buying their overpriced bottled water. You can easily get some from somewhere else. This will be our last time at a Hilton."
"The room and location itself was fine but the customer service sucks. They didn't have enough towels in the room. They don't tell you that you need a parking pass. Don't bother sending messages through the app because they take forever to respond. Breakfast is $12 and nothing more than the usual continental breakfast that other places provide for free and it was cold. We asked for fresh food and they wouldn't make anymore so that was a waste of money. I was charged to my room for breakfast in error and it still hasn't been refunded. I've asked about it and no one even responds so I will have to dispute it with my cc company. The digital room key worked when it felt like it. Overall this place was just not worth the headache I ended up getting by staying here."
