"This place rules. Recently moved to the area. Tried the Roost for a playoff game and the atmosphere is terrific. The club sandwich is EXCELLENT with a smokey flavor. The wasabi seared tuna was crazy good! Our server was Jess and she was awesome. 100% will go back."
"If you're in your 20's and 30's, this is a great place! Great music too. Just flew in to Charleston with 30 minutes before the New Year, found this place just a few blocks from my hotel just in time to celebrate!"
"Definitely not a "chill" place. I think reccomend for people in their 20's. We went fairly late in the night. The music was great. It was crowded. But the crowd was slightly rowdy. The bartender was not very personable or nice at all. Only had one drink... Watched drunk people. Then left."
"Really cool bar. Bartenders are super nice and friendly. I didn't eat there, but the wings from the group beside look so big and tasty. We asked, and they liked. Good prices and cold beer."
"I had a different experience than the person I dined with at this place. The atmosphere was great. It was a little loud, but that's to be expected, and good for a bar. We decided to dine here based on reviews and photos online, but upon arrival we could not find anything resembling what we saw online on the menu. Our server explained that what we saw online was most likely a "brunch special item." We made our selections for entrees and an appetizer from the menu. The appetizer, buffalo chicken dip, arrived very quickly and was very tasty. We both agreed that the appetizer was good. When the entrees arrived, that's when our experiences parted ways. I ordered fish & chips with a twist, sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. My fish filet seemed to be a large, well seasoned, freshly battered, not frozen, piece of fish which was moist and flaky and tasted great. My sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. My fiance ordered a burger and regular fries. His comments about his meal were "the fries were cold and the burger was dry " Overall, I was pleased, he was disappointed. But I'd return to try their brunch!"
