"Pamela and her associates were by far the best investment I've made. They were kind and patient with me and extremely effective in court. I would highly recommend them to any and all who need help with family law and divorce."
"Kennedy and Blackshire, LLC were sensitive, professional, and knowledgeable. They brought resolution in a timely manner. I will be forever grateful for their services."
"I am a father, in South Carolina, who has full custody of my kids, because of Pam Blackshire. My children’s mother and I were never married- traditionally a custodial death-sentence for fathers in SC. Which is exactly what I was told by the three other attorneys I met with before striking gold and meeting with Pam. No other attorney wanted my case, despite a mountain of evidence that my children would be best served by sharing joint custody with their mother. (I ultimately gained full custody a couple years after establishing legal joint custody, based on a change in circumstances). Pam knew the same truth the other attorneys knew- that there is a much higher legal bar set, in South Carolina, for unmarried fathers to establish that shared custody –whether joint or full- is what is in their children’s best interest. Pam did not shy away from the challenge. She actually listened to me- heard and considered the details I presented her about my children’s situation, and then carefully and calmly, explained to me what WAS POSSIBLE. Pam has represented me twice over the course of 5 years. First, to establish legal joint custody (when my children’s mother still appeared to be stable and capable of ½ time care, but refused to sign a parenting agreement, claiming that I had no parental rights, since we had never been married). Second, to establish temporary, emergency sole legal and physical custody, upon discovery that the children’s mom was struggling with substance abuse again. Ultimately, Pam’s deft legal genius and calm strategic process during the year of temporary sole custody led to my now having Permanent Full Custody of my children. My children are thriving, happy and safe. Their lives are stable now. And...their mother has maintained her sobriety for longer than she ever has since her early teens due, in large part I believe, to the iron-clad agreement Pam crafted, requiring reasonable 3rd-party accountability measures for the kids’ mom to be able to maintain her visitation schedule. While this bonus result of a non-custodial parent’s sobriety will not be the case for everyone (this outcome is, of course, dependent primarily on an individual prioritizing their own recovery), I do believe that my children having a mother who is present, in a safe manner, in their lives (via visitation) began with Pam Blackshire listening to me, hearing the details of my children’s unsafe circumstances, and helping me to walk skillfully and sure-footed through the rigorous and uncomfortable terrain of having to remove my children from their mother’s home. Pam is fair-minded, gracious, tenacious, kind, and forthcoming. Her integrity is beyond reproach. She is anchored in something deep, never taking the bait when opposing counsel attempted to distract with “lawyering” tricks. Always sharp as a tack, and unmoved in her composure and commitment to her clients’ best outcome, she is the epitome of grace, decorum and professionalism. Pam Blackshire doesn't sugar-coat, laying out the honest facts and potential outcomes. But importantly, she never attempted to frighten me into settling for less than what was best for my kids, even if it did mean a longer, (and potentially uncertain) road. AND, paramount to my trust in her, Pam always made sure I understood what a longer road could potentially cost financially, ensuring I always had ALL the information possible to determine what next step was doable and best. Integrity is first for Pam- I NEVER received a “surprise” on my invoices, (as so many are leery of when engaging with the legal profession.) The Short Summary of it all is this: No one ever wants to go through separation or custody disputes. No one ever wants to have to remove their children from their other parent’s home. But for those of us who find ourselves on that road, you want Pam Blackshire as your guide. If you need help in establishing a more stable, solid foundation on which to build a future for your children, Hire Pam now. She is a sherpa, in professional attire, for your life’s Mt. Everests."
"I recently went through the unfortunate process of divorce, and my experience with Pamela W. Blackshire, with Kennedy & Blackshire, LLC was nothing short of disappointing. From the beginning, it was evident that this attorney lacked the professionalism and commitment that one would expect during such a sensitive and emotional time. Firstly, communication was a constant struggle. My attempts to reach Pamela were often met with delayed responses, if any at all. It felt as though my case was not a priority, and I was left in the dark regarding important updates and developments. The lack of transparency and consistent communication only added to the stress of an already challenging situation. Moreover, I found Pamela to be unprepared and disorganized during legal proceedings. Important documents were overlooked, and there were instances where it seemed as though my attorney was not fully acquainted with the specifics of my case. This lack of attention to detail resulted in unnecessary delays and complications that could have been avoided with proper preparation. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of my experience was the apparent lack of empathy and understanding. Going through a divorce is an emotionally charged process, and I expected my attorney to be a source of support and guidance. Unfortunately, Pamela exhibited a lack of empathy and failed to provide the reassurance that I needed during this difficult time. In conclusion, I would strongly advise against choosing Pamela W. Blackshire for anyone seeking legal representation in a divorce case. The combination of poor communication, lack of preparation, and a lack of empathy made the entire process more challenging than it needed to be. It is regrettable that I entrusted such an important matter to someone who ultimately fell short of my expectations."
"Have known Pam for many years and have mutual clients with Bree. This dynamo team has integrity, is in your corner and can mediate effectively and fairly. :)"
