"One of the best restaurants in Charleston. It’s one of those places, you just have to have gone there to understand the experience and the standard that Hachiya holds itself to. It really is one of a kind and I have never left disappointed. The early bird has some good deals. You can get a walk in sometimes for a party of 2 or 3 but any larger, I would make a reservation."

"One of the best hibachi places I've been to. The pork bun wasnt what I expected as I expected a stuffed steamed fluffy bun but it did taste good, it was a very light flavored dish (~$5 for one bun) The kyoto dinner was amazing and came with everything I wanted. The cooks were very funny and charming. I will 100% be back and bring/tell others to come here! But one odd thing I noticed that Ive never seen before in other hibachi restaurants was that they charge $5 for them to sing you happy birthday (I don't ever have people do that for me but just to let you birthday goers know that's what they do lmao)"
