"Restaurants have become largely an impersonal experience. That was not the case here this was our first experience at Saky and it was just the best first of all when we came in we saw that other people who own restaurants in the area come to this restaurant to eat on their nights off. Do we need to say more? We can the owners were so personal and friendly and it just felt like you were part of a community the first time you came in. Now let’s talk about the food. The miso soup was amazing they brought appetizers so many sushi restaurants don’t do anymore, the fish was super fresh. In the end I was so full and I was sad about it because I wanted to order more. I highly recommend the specialty roles. pro tip ask them for their off menu items suddenly you’ll feel like you’re having a sushi experience from Japan. I never tried a sweet shrimp before and it is for sushi pros but oh my am I grateful that somebody was there to Recommend it. If you’re with adults, go for the saki bomb experience. Thank you guys so much for making last night so special."
"Driving back up to Jersey from Florida with the family (wife and 4 young kids) and found this gem. Tucked away in a somewhat obscure location, but food was delicious and place had good ambience and very clean. Very thankful to have found this place and would recommend to anyone in the area!"
"Don't let the outside fool you, this place is serving up homemade food that is so comforting it will easily become somewhere you crave to go after long days. We got the shrimp shumai dumplings and bento box B. I had no idea the shumai were going to be handmade dumplings. It was so delicious. The miso soup was very soothing and full of miso flavor and seaweed. I love when places put a good amount of tofu and seaweed in the miso soup. The bento box was presented beautifully. And all of the food was so delicious. There is fresh homemade kimchi they serve as a side and it was crunchy, spicy, fermented goodness. Service was as speedy as possible with only 1 server. We plan on going back soon! Enjoy some pics!"
"Saky Japanese is a hidden gem outside of the Fort Jackson Marion gate. I was skeptical about this place, looking in from the outside and smelling inside. The smell either came from the bathroom or the floor from mopping using the same dirty water. However, the food was excellent and inexpensive. Services is excellent and friendly. I recommend this place if you are looking for either Japanese or a quick bit, especially if you work on base for a short drive or walk."
