Hampton Place at Palmetto Dunes

"Hampton place is a series of five-story buildings with condos individually owned. Some are for rent. Some are not. Location is great alongside the Atlantic Ocean. Hampton has a wonderful pool and exercise area."

"Hampton Place is wonderful with great amenities and excellent view. However, Unit 6401 needs to upgrade its furnishings. We rent different condos at HP 4x per year. We have stayed in some lovely units but this is not one of them. The bedspreads were older, dirty and didn't appear to have been washed for quite awhile. The fitted sheets came off the beds if you turned in bed. There were pillows stacked in the closet but NO pillowcases. We had to go out and purchase pillowcases for our stay and blankets to put on the beds after we took off the dirty spreads. The floor in the main part of the condo is buckling in two different places. We were told about that only once we checked in. "Mike" phoned to inform us but basically was rude and acted as if the condo had been inspected but he had not been informed. We did not believe that. We will not rent this unit again until its furnishings are refreshed."

"The property is amazing and close to everything!! I’ve stayed in palmetto dunes for years and this was the first time there was ever a security guard at the pool! It was ridiculous! She yelled at every kid that came in with a speck of sand on their foot to shower. Very hard to have a good time with your family at the pool when someone is over your shoulder yelling at kids for every little thing! The management made a poor decision doing this! People did not seem happy!"

"This is the third year we have stayed in this complex. We stayed in this unit the first year we were here and we really liked it. We got here and had to vacuum ourselves and the floors look like they haven't been properly mopped around the baseboards in a month or two. very disappointed at the lack of cleaning and the rundown wallpaper and things like that that need to be updated plus the 1980s looking sink fixtures that should be updated by now. otherwise it's very nice complex with a great view just needs a little updating and help with the cleaning. Not sure if I'll return next year but would definitely get a different unit even though I love the view from this one."
