Reviews
"Excellent shelter sleeps 8 comfortably, privy has a door, nice spring water source near shelter, bear cables, and a bear box at this location. Also room to tent camp if needed."
"Very cool shelter. The picnic table is covered, the water is close, and the privy....well they have one. I don't think privy are ever really nice. Plenty of camping spots and I can't say with 100% positivity the shelter is water proof. It rained alot on our trip and we woke up dry. Definitely recommend sleeping here if you need a dry spot for the night."
"I hammock camped in one of the tent pads near the shelter. The shelter was very clean with a table where you could cook and socialize. The privy was what you'd expect from an AT outhouse. The water source was a nice piped spring."
"What a crowded place! Lovely shelter, though. It's very, very sloped, so it was a little annoying at times to sit on the ground or have your water bottle roll away, but not too bad. The dirt was really hard, and I was grateful for the strong stakes I had upgraded to on a whim a few months before."
"We stopped here while the rain was coming down and let me tell you it's a solid shelter. The water is nearby, the shelter definitely kept us dry, I saw some camp-able grounds around (tents were pitched). One thing about shelters: if an acorn or something like that falls on the metal roof, expect to hear one of the loudest bangs you've ever heard. Overall, great place!"
