"This law office agreed to represent my bankruptcy, accepted my retainer payment, then “chose not to handle my case”. Keeping 250 dollars of my fee for his time. Incredibly unprofessional. Rude. Entitled. Save your time and money and look elsewhere."
"Mr. Marine helped us set up our Trust, and other important papers. Thank you Andrew Marine."
"Andrew C. Marine went above and beyond to explain how Bankruptcy works. He took his time to explain everything so that I could understand it. When I went in I was feeling really anxious about everything. But when I left I was feeling a lot better. Would recommend him and his team to anyone. His pricing and all I think was very affordable. Plus my consultation was free. Thanks to his time and knowledge I now know what can and can't be done. I also know when and which direction I should go. Thank you Andrew C. Marine. Sincerely James Lowe and Family. God Bless"
"I am in the process now of Chapter 7 due to health problems and lack of sales. ( self employed ) I got charged $100 up front to talk to Mr. Marine, I was upset at first, but he spent a good hour or more explaining everything in detail and answering questions. I charge by the hour as well so in hindsight I understand his fee. Many people would talk about it and waste his time but few would spend the money to get his service. My Ch 7 is going ok so far, he has helped when needed and I have never had a problem getting an answer to a question. Bankruptcy laws were changed in 2005 so it is way costlier and more hassle than it used to be. I thought Mr. Marine's fees were reasonable considering the time involved and the court being a hour away in Columbia. Ch 7 sucks, you have to pay upfront, I get it. It is not any lawyers fault you don't have the money. I actually got charged slightly less than originally quoted by his assistant so I was expecting a little more than what it cost. Being poor sucks. There is nothing he can do about that but give decent fees. I consider the fees to be decent and the service to be above and beyond. It was much cheaper and easier back in 1994 when I had my first Ch 7 ( in another state ) due to a work injury and debts I couldn't pay as a result. It isn't 1994 anymore, laws have changed. The banks get away with more with no punishment and the average consumer has more work and money to pay to get Ch 7 relief. Vote Dems and it might go back to normal. Anyway, I am happy with the service and the level of help before and after the initial filing. Hopefully my discharge happens soon."
"Wow, i was told that i needed $800.00 to retain A. Marine to represent me in Bruptcy matters. It was all i could do to put together $550.00 over the next 60 days to apply towards this protection. To save this amt. $ i had to sacrifice my electricity to my house along with sacrificing meals. My auto was repo'd this week and the foreclosure on my house has begun. I visited Andrew Marine's office to see if they would take my last $500.00 to my name TODAY. The lady there reiterated the $800.00 was needed and smiled after i told her my car was just repo'd. Is there any one out there that may be able to work with me??? I guess if you dont have $800.00 up front there seems to be no interest in helping a 30yr Aiken, SC resident. Save the HUMILIATION ive suffered by thinking a neighborhood attorney would help his neighbors. It was hard enough just to go ask for help. In Augusta, attorneys there cant help SC residents now??? Maybe thats good for Andrew Marine but sucks for SC Aikenites. Jeff Ferrell"
