"I’ve driven overweight tanker here as a CDL-A driver since 08/22. We do ag waste, and liquid whey from local milk plants and farms, occasional pesto sauce or applesauce. It’s a family farm, but the pay is very fair. Hourly pay so there’s no pressure to hurry and take risks. I’m home at a reasonable hour every night. If I go in early, I leave early, unlike most other trucking jobs. The flexibility and low stress is a GREAT advantage. I did delivery driving in Buffalo for a big company before this, and there was too much pressure. You couldn’t get it all done in a day and it wears on your body. This job has none of that. Get your runs done and keep the local customers happy by taking away their liquid trash. That’s the job."
