"This is a real unSouthern way to create city revenue. The machine are very sketchy. Most don’t work. This place is pitiful. Too many other friendly locations to stop here."

"We stopped at the public beach for 20 minutes on Sunday at around 5pm check out the storm over the ocean for the first time. We get back to the car and got a ticket for parking.We will never come back, money hungry town!! It looks like the parking attendant was just waiting for us to walk away to cite us!"

"Visited Tybee Island while on our Savannah vacation. We parked at the 14th street lot ($7/day) Easy walk over the dunes on the beach access boardwalk / path. Found a nice, sandy spot and set up for a few hours!! The water was nice (82’) and the waves didn’t beat you up! We had a great day.! Beach was clean and easy to access. PS - Beach is now No Smoking as of June 1, 2022. Fine is $300. Nice part, no butts in the sand,,, other than those in swimsuits!! LOL."

"Definitely good place to park and it didn’t not seem crowded. This was our first time visiting and we didn’t have to drive around looking for a space and it was not a long walk to the beach"

"Watched 1st Sunrise of new year 2021. Tybee beach was a beautiful place to watch the sunrise. And this public parking is spacious with fine restroom and easy access to the beach directly."
