"I like covered bridges. There are not that many left in GA. Go one car at a time to not damage it. Very pretty and well maintained."
"One of the few remaining covered bridges in Georgia and the longest remaining covered bridge in Georgia at 229 feet. The bridge itself is still actively in use by vehicles under 9 foot clearance and the three ton weight limit. The bridge is beautiful and full of historic character and charm, well worth a visit inside the state park."
"Very nice State Park. Lots of hiking and birding areas. Very friendly staff, too."
"Watson Mill Covered Bridge in Comer, GA is one of my favorite Georgia State Parks! Built in 1885, the bridge is in amazingly great condition. Crossing the south fork of the Broad River, you can still drive across it(slowly). The waterfall is an added bonus to this park plus you can swim and fish in the Broad River. There’s an observation deck that gives an incredible view of it all. You can set up a picnic and grill out in one of the designated area. I was here on a cloudy, rainy day so it the pics don’t even give it justice. The visitor center is a must stop. The folks workin there are extremely nice with a load of helpful information, and they have great gifts. I highly recommend Watson Mill Bridge Park to everyone."
"I have loved this beautiful park for many years. Whether enjoying the water on a hot day, the wonderfully shady hiking trails, the picturesque rural route to get there on my motorcycle, or camping for a night, this park has it all! Last night my pup and I camped and Pioneer site number two. Unless you have an all-wheel drive, the road down to the campsite is currently not traversable, especially after a rain. I can't tell you how much I appreciate Ralph, the maintenance man on site. He had to help me get unstuck from the mud twice! He was so helpful and positive and has amazing ideas for improvements to the park, including a brand new road down to the campsite. I highly recommend this park to absolutely anyone who wants a beautiful day outdoors! And thank you again to Ralph, my hero!"
