"They must be closing the store or something. They have like a 12th of what they used to have. I went in for perlite and was told by both owners perlite is very very hard to come by. i immediately went to Home Depot and they had 50+ bags in stock. (Should’ve bought the remaining stock for their inventory LOL). Went to a different local hydro store and what a difference. They had easily 20x more inventory than flower city. They also had bags on bags (even bags that were taller than 5 feet high) so no, perlite is not hard to come by, it’s just poor business decision making. They also don’t carry grove bags anymore. I go to my other local hydro store and also get nutrients for $10 cheaper than flower city. Used to LOVE flower city hydro, but damn, that bud must be getting to you guys differently."
"Went back again today. The service was good, the guy was friendly, and he did not try to sell me anything other than what I bought unlike what l read on other reviews. Amazon is cheaper and easier but it does feel good to support local people and economy."
"Twice in January, I visited Flower City Hydroponics and bought a clone each time. At first, I was thrilled with my purchases, but my excitement was short-lived. Within a week, I observed powdery mildew in my plants, which was alarming because I had never encountered this problem in my 6 years of plant cultivation. It was apparent that the powdery mildew had developed after I obtained the clones from Flower City Hydroponics. I promptly brought the issue to the attention to the people of Flower City Hydro Growers Connect, your Facebook group. However, to my disappointment, I was quickly banned from the group, and the company failed to take any action to address the issue. This lack of responsibility and inadequate customer service only intensified my frustration with the situation. It's important to note that I wasn't the only one experiencing this problem. Other people in the Flower City Hydro Growers Connect group had also reported similar issues with their clones purchased from the same store. Despite this, the company still failed to take any action to address the problem."
"Sold me an air pump and air stones, great. However they lack the proper tubing or adapters: air pump takes 1/4" ID, air stone takes 3/8". The person working was "certain" it was 1/4". So I had to go elsewhere to get the proper gear. Learn your inventory and stock the correct stuff please."
"Shopping at Flour City Hydroponics is always a great experience! Everyone on staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We have always received real world, easy to follow guidance from everyone on staff. They take time to listen to the customer. I never feel rushed or not able to ask questions. The knowledge the staff has on what they sell is second to none. And, the products are all of excellent quality. We love FCH!"
