Reviews of Beech Hills Corporation
"It’s Jan 5, 2022. I just saw a Chinese grandma slip and fall outside in the rain/cold all the way to the ground/sidewalk. Later, my wife fell all the way to the ground too when taking my son to school. She has had back surgery in the past. Not a single maintenance worker putting down salt/sand. Did just see two different maintenance workers come past and do nothing. I left a vm for them, but I doubt they even check it."
"Ugh. I can't believe I moved here. Now don't get me wrong, the neighborhood is lovely and the price for the size of the unit was worth it. There are quiet streets, neighbors are lovely, ample parking, multiple food stores within walking distance, and one of the best school districts in Queens but, double ugh! The management/ maintenance office team is terrible. The Co-Op super is a superb guy, so he and his crew must know that they are excluded from this review. My soul aches when I have to deal with the office staff. The word that comes to mind when trying to best describe the team is, humbug! I have a nickname for all of them, "The Scrooge Squad." When I was signing the paperwork the day my wife and I finalized the purchase; the man I purchased the unit from signed and was walking out of the room when he suddenly turned and almost barked out, "Thank God this is finally over with. I can't wait to never see you people again!" I will never forget that. My wife and I left the room bewildered. I didn't understand because the management people we were dealing with were so pleasant. I've been living here for over 3 years now and I can see the "S" on my forehead growing bigger by the day. S, of course meaning sucker. I now get why the seller yelled that out. I sometimes ponder what I am going to say when I sell and leave for greener pastures one day. Maybe this horrible review will suffice. Maybe the management/ maintenance office will make the process of me selling my unit infinity difficult. Only time shall tell. I'm sure other residents have had different experiences then mine. Maybe my experiences are similar to a few others. If all my fingers were thumbs, I'd give this place an eight thumbs down! Two thumbs up the grounds crew!"
"Quiet neighborhood and great school district. Beautiful designed landscaping. He management fee is a bit high, but you pay for what you get. His coop is one of the best deal in Little Neck neighborhood which typical house is $1,000,000+"
"My parents have lived in the Beech Hills co-ops for 38 years and are sad to see it go. This is one of the few tree-lined streets backing up to a golf course where you can take a nice long walk with low traffic. You have playgrounds and can walk to one of the best schools in NYC or to the LIRR or buses if you want to go to Manhattan. Great pizza and bagels very close, and a very large public park a block away off Marathon."
"Terrible company. I’ve lived here for almost 15 years and both my neighbors and the employees conduct themselves like entitled goons who resort to bullying tactics as they see fit. I would stay away from this particular area and caution potential buyers to either look elsewhere or conduct through research into the area and contract they ask you to sign with arbitrary rules down to how big your vegetable garden can be (4x8) to what youre allowed to keep in “your” hallway (no shoes allowed.) BUYER BEWARE."
