"My stepfather used to live here back in the day, it was then known as Ocean Village Projects. He told me that the studios were ok, big and roomy."

"Where do I begin. I hate the household policy. 4 people can only get a 2 bedroom no matter if they are boys and girls, no matter the age difference! I got a three bedroom because my son is special needs. I Asked for a 4 bedroom, and it was an issues. I have 2 teenagers (boy 16 and girl 14) and a three year old boy....If I'm paying for it what is the problem? The garbage!! Maintenance can get tired of always calling them go clean your hallways. So you can have garbage in you stairwell for days!!! It's gotten so bad, I have cleaned MYSELF! These things happen right in front of the cameras. Especially the town houses were I live. People should get fined, even when they know who, but they don't. You run the risk of mice. There was a dead mouse smell in my son's room for a week. They come in through the radiator. I had to do my own mouse control and buy Humane traps. I couldn't risk poison with my toddler. I heard other buildings have big roach problems. I've seen lots of water bugs walking around in the summer. The bells dont work always. I had to purchase my own because management did not make this issue a priority. People with "no home training" will continuously ring my bell to get in! I'm on the top floor! (Instead of calling thier people to come downstairs and let them in. It is a bell, not a buzzer!) The garbage Arrangement in the front of the town houses is a mess! Garbage can be left all over the grounds. The weekend (when maintenance is off) is the WORST!!! At night there are people looking for bottles and they rip open the garbage bags leaving a mess everywhere. Making the door that faces the garbage bins, the front entrance was a bad idea! People Try to basketball bags of garbage into the garbage area leaving messes. So embarrassing to bring company. I hate telling anyone I live there. My biggest issue is the other tenants and they are allowed to be this way. They play LOUD music from other buildings where you can hear it in your apt at midnight or early morning. They smoke weed in the only staircases were you have to bring your kids (barely no ventilation). Sometimes the weed smoke and smell come through your door...smh. I am at my wits end. This place is really NOT FOR WORKING FAMILIES. They should just turn it into the projects. The backstair case they put papers, break the lock for easy access for ANYONE making it unsafe! Tried speaking to tenants only to be told "you have to remember this is the hood" "i dont have problems with garbage, I walk with it on the subway". Expressing they shouldn't compromise the back entrance, to be told... I'm "stinking thinking", because I deal in reality! "I just moved here, and need to learn to go with the flow" basiclly to live here successfully, you have to be fluent in ghetto living and be complacent! Told some kids they shouldn't spray paint on the building steps because you live here...to be told "i dont live in the front of the building, I live in an apt upstairs..really?. Now they are raising rent this year. I will be most likely paying over 2000 to live in these conditions! AND I DONT HAVE SECTION 8!!!!!! Putting in an applications for co-op complexes. I'm tired. I got stuck living with people that care NOTHING about thier community, correcting thier children or a management that doesnt hold these people accountable. It's not ALL, but you know what they say about a few bad apples! Leaving your apt to be met by a group of teenagers hanging, smoking and leaving garbage (not even the hanging that bothers me), piss on the floor. And no matter how much you complain, or talk reason...nothing. If your planning on staying in your apt..ok ...but going out...It's a nightmare! If you TRULY want to see what it's like outside, come in the summer. In the winter Visit inside other buildings, because they will clean your Potential building because they are getting a new tenant. This review is for my building. I was excited to move here....boy did they trick me!"

"I live here going on 4 years and every year they keep raising the rent. This complex is good for people on government help not for the working class they keep raising the rent every time you get a raise at work. Truthfully they raised the rent it use to be $878- $1024 when I moved in 1 year later they changed it to $1100 - $1400. Honestly I am moving because I just can’t afford to live here"

"The apartments are disgusting and tiny. Late at night you'll find giant roaches crawling outside of the buildings as well as mice. The doors to each building operate on a buzzer and on certain days the buzzers just stop working. The maintenance team hardly ever comes when you schedule them to. There is also terrible cell phone reception inside of the apartments. I have to go outside to make my phone calls. Not to mention that the rent is way too high. Nobody should pay to live here."
