"Don’t waste your money. I’ve never written a bad review but am compelled to warn others about this building and most specifically the management. The apartments present beautifully, great views, friendly staff (Rita and the concierge team + maintenance are all wonderful) but the building is a pure facade. We moved here from Manhattan in January 2023 for the quiet neighborhood, smoke-free living, extra space, walk in closets etc. The building is fairly new yet falling apart, we’ve had many issues since arrival. Just to name a few: The heat/AC units, falsely advertised as “central” are not at all. Instead they are individual room units that are extremely finicky and the temperature is never accurately reflected on the unit nor is it ever a comfortable temp. You constantly have to adjust it to get it right. They often just stop working too. Also, they are gas powered with a pilot light similar to a stove. Next, the roof above us has leaked and left a large water stain in one room which was never remedied (maintenance apparently cannot fix the roof) and required a third party vendor. Hence the water built up and finally leaked into the fire alarm in our space at 3am, requiring us to immediately vacate with our infant screaming awakened by the loud & scary alarm. Management behaved indifferently, no one called or followed up, instead we were instructed to submit a work order. A work order for maintenance (who are lovely people) and are unable to fix the roof and leak. Management has yet to rectify this. We fear the next rainfall, further leaking and subsequent mold as the issue persists. We had to move our infant out of his bedroom due to the leaking. The washer/dryer units have been replaced twice now due to a mysterious gas smell that emits. Way too close to our infants bedroom for comfort. The issue persists. Additionally, there’s a massive air duct in the walls that creates a banging sound every 10-20 seconds. At all times. It was fairly faint when we moved in and has now grown louder and across all rooms. Again, this isn’t something maintenance is able to fix, management hasn’t done anything to seek a third party repair promptly. The rents here are insanely high for the quality of living, I would not recommend Windsor buildings due to the ill management and lack of concern, care or safety of their tenants."
"Before you settle on this spot, give it an extra thought. Noise: Maybe I lucked out with some decent neighbors next door, making the walls between units seem fine. But let me tell you, you can practically eavesdrop on the neighbors above. The building's design is lacking, and there's a no-carpet policy, so you'll be privy to every creak and shuffle. Get ready to know your neighbors' daily routine—when they rise, when they hit the hay. And that door slam? Brace yourself—it's just them heading out. Oh, and if you're in the unit facing the school, make peace with the sound of dribbling basketballs and random events during the school season. Poor interior: Despite being a new apartment, the interior quality is a bit off. You can just sense that they've cut corners. Weird package reclaim policy: Forget picking up your delivered package whenever you please. No, you have to wait for the concierge to check and log them into the system. It might take a few hours after delivery, and if they're not at the front desk, you'll be twiddling your thumbs until they are. Expensive: If you've got wheels, I'm pretty sure you can find a more budget-friendly and decent option. Without a car, this place isn't too shabby, but it might not be essential. Journal Square is a more affordable pick if you're heading to NYC. Plus, most grocery stores in this neighborhood will have you shelling out some serious cash."
"We recently visited the Warren at York to look at potential apartment options. The leasing staff is amazing with Mike leading the charge. He is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. Any questions we had were quickly answered. The community is wonderful and apartment layouts are great!"
"My husband and I have lived at Warren at York together for about 3 years. The management company is amazing- they are always super helpful and friendly. We recently decided to transfer out of our 1 bedroom into a 2 bedroom and the process could not have gone more smoothly. Michael & Samantha made the transition extremely seamless and were ready and eager to answer any and all questions that we had. Thank you Michael & Sam - we really appreciate all of the hard work you put into getting us our apartment!"
"I worked with Michael Coughlan on my recent lease!!! I fell in love with my unit instantly and Michael has been guiding me through the application process with nothing but warmth and patience! I also truly appreciated the efficiency and rigor that Michael upheld to make sure that Windsor is a fun and safe community for families. Michael really helped lessen the stress and pressure that often are a built-in feature of apartment searching and moving."
