"Current resident. 1. They increase rent by $100 each year, so beware of that. 2. They continue to leave "notes" and reminders on each apartment door, about things like the smoking policy, effectively advertising to all the neighbors on your floor when you're out of town. I have asked the office repeatedly to not leave notes, and they have ignored me. Greystone basically gives all of the other residents in my building a neon sign to rob my apartment with this tactic. I feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable because of this. 3. They expect you to move your car by 9 am when it snows, or they threaten to tow your car. Also a problem for people who travel for work. To get around this, you can pay $40 a month for a covered car space. 4. They email with 1 days notice when they are going to pave or paint certain parking lots, and your car better be out of the way. (Also a problem for people who travel for work.) 5. There is 1 trash room that accepts recycling now because they couldn't keep up with all of it. There used to be recycling in every trash room but I guess we are saving money despite the yearly rent increase. 6. Not once in 2 years has anyone vacuumed or cleaned the halls. An elephant moved in on the second floor and tore a good 3-inch by 3-foot hole in the paint and it's been chillin like that for 9 months."
"I have lived at Greystone for 3 years. Nice and safe location. My 1 bedroom apartment was outdated. Maintenance was very sluggish. Isolation was not good so in very cold winters, i froze and the heater couldn't' keep up with the weather. I had leak from the ceiling in the bathroom 3 times and each time it was partially fixed. The work was never completed. Overall i rate it 3/5 for the price."
"Per pictures the establishment is very nice. They're just ok actually For what we're paying to live here, you would expect to have upgrades. The hallway in my building stinks 90% of the time. Our laundry room is disgusting. Maintenance didn't clean it. I don't recall anywhere lease that states that's our job. Our basement leaks. The bathroom in my apartment is very small. I also want allowed to see my apartment until my move in date. The walls are thin. Maintenance smells like weed, I turned one guy around because of the smell. Reported to the office. They have a "bedbug" dog. Never heard or seen anything like that in my life. I'm currently looking for another place. Thanks but no thanks"
"My boyfriend and I moved in October 2019 and thought these apartments were great. We live in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom on the first floor and while they are very spacious the walls are paper thin. Originally we thought we were getting a great deal for what the apartment comes with..walk in closet, large master bedroom, washer and dryer...however in the last few years this complex as a whole has severely declined. All of the appliances are so cheap that they break continuously and maintenance only does super cheap repairs...leading to the appliances breaking all over again. Its a continuous cycle which could be fixed if they just invested money into actually fixing things, but they don't. We've recently had a whole family move into the apartment above us and they are super noisy at all hours of the day. They stomp around and wake us up at 3am quite frequently which is not ideal when you work a full time job and have to be there at 9am. We have spoken to the leasing office and they did absolutely nothing for us. The only question we got was "well are they partying up there?" and while the answer was no, noise is still noise. The girls working in the leasing office seemed to totally disregard all of our complaints because the family above us isn't partying. They also do not have any other apartments for us to move into here so our only other option is to break our lease and move to a different complex. They told us it would cost the equivalent of 2 months rent ($2400) to break our lease which contradicts everything stated in our lease. Our apartment has essentially become unlivable due to the noise levels and the fact that our entire apartment literally shakes as they stomp around upstairs, and management has done nothing to assist which is disgusting. Aside from all of this, the leasing office has also sent emails to current residents urging them to write positive reviews on multiple renting websites in exchange for Dunkin Donuts gift cards. So my advice to anyone reading these positive reviews thinking this is a good place to live - THINK AGAIN."
"Everything was smooth from searching for the apartment, signing the lease, and moving in. I moved from NYC so everything was online and virtual and it was easy. Great experience as a new resident and the welcome large cheese pizza when we moved in was a very nice touch. Beautiful apartment with dishwasher, washer and dryer in the unit all clean and rare to find. Very clean upon move in. Very quiet community and very nice neighbours. Me and my family love it so far!"
