The Village East Apartments

"Apartments are really small and cramped. Neighbors are also not the best, which loud noises coming from upstairs, and weird smells coming from the hallways. You can hear your neighbor from the wall as either, there is no insolation, or therees bad insolation. I really think its stupid that upstairs areas get hardwood, while downstairs gets carpet. Makes no sense! Parking is also on the bad side towards the back. Bceause they don't let you parallel park next to the wall. And the office doesn't take much action when non-residents park there, or when work cars park in the back. And also when people who live in the front park in the back. Best thing is the incredibile prices, super cheap."

"I stayed here for over 8 years and that is for good reason. Most of the utilities except RG&E are included (cable/internet too). The maintenance staff are very responsive and accommodating. The walls are thin but the community knows this and is mindful of the it. It is also maintained well so it looks and feels great. Maura is an excellent community manager and will send you reminders/sort out your mail for quick grabs if you forget, plans events for the community and much more."

"I have been living in this apartment from last 4 years. This a beautiful place I loved from the very first day. There are some great parties for tenants. Moreover, its located in the middle of almost everything. Maintenance concerns were always addressed quickly, and the staff are quite friendly. We have Great amenities, gym, yoga room and a very nice party hall."

"I have lived at The Village East for almost a year now and I can honest say that I thorough enjoy living here. The apartments are very nice as well as secure, the staff are kind and courteous and the other tenants are respectful and courteous as well. It’s a pretty social place and management does a lot for it’s tenants, whether it’s catered parties on holidays or something as small as cookies in the lobby for us, it’s wonderful. It’s convenient to many locations and reasonable for all that is included. I highly recommend The Village East!"

"Such a great community living space. The apartments and facilities are very clean and well-maintained. The location is very central to a lot of shopping areas and restaurants. It is only 15-20 minutes to downtown Rochester, but also a short drive to more idyllic rural areas and even Canandaigua Lake. All residents have access on-site to a small gym, common living area, community computers, a private yoga studio/game room, and a spacious courtyard complete with a barbecue grill available for use. My favorite aspect is that every now and then there are community gatherings such as a winter holiday or Fourth of July party. I've never experienced anything like that in an apartment building, and it's a wonderful way to meet your neighbors. Maura Hayward is an excellent property and even community manager. The one star is only lost because of three criticisms: a) It is a little pricey for the square footage. b) There is virtually no parking available. The lot is packed full every single night even if no one in the building has visitors. c) The snow maintenance leaves something to be desired. It can be pretty hazardous in the parking lot the day or two after a snowfall."
