Fairweather Tax & Accounting

"Really upset. Been working with them for months yet…They not only didn’t file our taxes on time, and we are just now finding out (because we kept emailing and calling to ask what’s going on) that we will owe late fees on an estimated payment we were supposed to have made. No one told us how to pay, how much to pay, or that there was a deadline of a few days ago to pay even with an extension. So now we are facing penalties that we have to pay due to this. I told them to stop on our taxes (not that they started) and now have to find a new accountant to start all over late. I do not recommend this place at all."

"I had my taxes done for years by Richard before he retired . Always kind , professional , and took personal time in his office w me to review my situation . They had a front waiting area as is typical of a professional biz . After he retired and son Franz took over it has been a completely different experiance . I never even met him after 2 years until I had to complain loudly last year when it took over 2 months to do my daughters simple return in June well past their busy period . They had filed an extension for her but I had trouble even getting a response finally . As to my own taxes , as I said I was never able to even meet Franz . After making an appointment I was relegated to standing in the cold outside w another client until they were ready . They had turned the waiting area into a desk for a very young woman to be the only person you would meet with . I was incredulous and frustrated at my inability to have a talk w Franz to ask serious questions. I called this year to ask more questions up front and was sorry to learn that things seem to be the same. Why pay rates for what I thought was a serious experienced tax acct when I would be left standing outside like as if at a fast food operation , only to meet w a young inexperienced person ala H & R Block ? We miss you Richard ."

"Before we found Fairweather tax we were going to another tax person who my husband’s family used for some years and he is very hard to get in touch with and he was not very thorough with his work.I told my husband it’s time to break the chain and he agreed. All our headache was gone when we found Fairweather Tax. They are quick to respond through phone and email and they are very thorough with their work. The receptionist who answers the phone is always pleasant and the minute you walk into their office you are greeted gracefully.We have been using them for a few years and we are never disappointed."
