Reviews of Clare Morris Apartments
"While I was a co signer for this apartment for my son and on the lease as well, and was involved in everything and was there a quite a bit ,and while this apartment complex is pretty quiet ( except for the very thin walls) & the other tenants are nice, friendly & quiet, I wouldn't recommend this place. It's very over priced. For $1200 a month the place is pretty old, run down, and has no air conditioning, no laundry hook ups ( unless you pay $35a month extra). I thought well I'll just put a window air cond in. Well I didn't realize the windows arent dbl hung windows, they are the vertical sliding type so a window unit will not fit properly. & the space between the top of the unit & to the top of the window? You need to put something up so it's covered so bugs and rain don't get in , all the tenants use cardboard & duct tape. It looks horrible! You want laundry hook ups, it costs extra mo, xtra storage? Extra $ mo. . Also, please read your lease agreement over very well before signing. It states they will not give you your sec dep (which is $1,300) back if you don't hire "certified professionals" to clean the windows inside & out & the carpets. You pay them, costs a few hundred out of your pocket to get your sec dep back. Very weird, very sly, esp if your apt is on the 2nd floor. Once in you'll feel ripped off monthly as there are so many other places I found after the fact that are soooo much nicer for the $ with air conditioning, nice outside areas, laundry hookups incl. But if there's nothing else avail, it'll do, but you'll spend so much more for so less here. If you do, look up good certified pros for that end of lease cleaning or you'll walk away with absolutely nothing. Update: Their response is kinda funny & rote as well. The comment about the apt being a mess? Good God ppl. We spent hours cleaning that (which wasn't very dirty to begin with since he was never there & only there for a few mos) but thankfully I did take some video on my phone of the apartment before leaving the keys. I even filmed inside the cupboards & appliances! I'll check to see if I can post it or stills. Plus he was only there for a couple months, which started in AUG & SEPT, very hot weather. Strange how we couldn't pin them down at all to come and view the apt with us upon moving out? Why is that? I saved the texts. That is the way it's always done. But they just figure people aren't going to get their sec dep back anyways so they say it was a mess. I'll try to post the video of apartment on our last day there. I will continue to edit each time a false comment is added. I'm not telling people to stay away, hence the 2 star, not one, it's a nice quiet place if you're in a bind, it's just a heads up on what to expect and to be vigilant."
"I have lived here very happily for a long time. Management is always very quick to respond. Safe, quiet, convenient place to live."
"This apartment complex is fantastic! Apartments are beautiful and bright! Exterior grounds clearly well maintained, dishwasher, clean basements with washer and dryer hookups and storage area available. Hallways and stairwells cleaned every week and painted regularly. Quiet residents and parking lot plowed promptly. Manager responds immediately to any questions and attends to concerns quickly. Would highly recommend!"
"Nice place to live"
"This is a GREAT place to live! The management is very responsive, polite and professional. I only had one minor maintenance issue that was rectified within 24 hours. The building is very safe and the neighbors were all great. Two apartments share a large basement with washer/dryer hook ups and locking storage areas. My apartment was perfect for me—nice to have a dishwasher, too. There is always plenty of parking. The location is wonderful— walking distance to Village of Williamsville, Tops grocery store, Walgreens, Panera’s, McDonald’s, historic train station, playground and Lehigh bike/walking trail, etc. I was very happy there and disappointed when personal circumstances required me to move—I would still be there is I could."
