Reviews of Princeton Court Apartments
"Great place! Updated apartments in safe community"
"Overall this is a very good place and you should definitely consider it if you're looking for something on the cheap side, but also not too worn down or in poor condition. I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment by myself as a graduate student for 10 months. I'll break it down in terms of the positives and negatives * Positives: - Very close to UB south campus (~7 min walk to Goodyear hall) - Close to a number of convenience stores and good restaurants (this is a big plus if you don't have a car) - Maintenance & admin staff are very friendly and do their job properly. Never had any technical problems. - Fridge & cooker were in very good shape (like new). - Place was very clean when I first moved in, and the area around the building is always kept sparkling clean. - Pest issues are taken seriously and dealt with promptly. I never had a problem in that area. - Snow on the entrance to the building is continuously shoveled and the pathways salted. *Negatives: - no curtains. Yup. You have to install your own curtains, which is not ideal if you're only moving to the place for a few months and have to pay a pretty tidy sum to install your own curtains on the 5 windows in the apartment. - drawers and closets in the kitchen were very old and started to take on a faded rusty color that makes the kitchen look depressing, but they work pretty well. - Air conditioning is through forced air, which doesn't do a very good job on extra cold days (and there are quite a lot of those in Buffalo). However, you can tough it out on those cold days and just put on an extra blanket. - High bills. That air conditioning system also tends to draw a lot of power, which means more money to toast those cold toes. You're looking at ~$50-70 in utilities (gas and electric, internet not included) in winter, which is a hefty sum indeed. - Temperature. The place tends to trap heat, which is good in winter, but miserable in summer. You can expect the place to be significantly hotter than outside in the summer. The heat doesn't bother me too much, so I got by just fine with a fan, but you might need an air conditioner if you can't stand the heat ."
"Please DO NOT MOVE HERE, IT IS ROACH INFESTED. I literally moved out within 3 months of living here, that’s how bad the infestation was. I was given hell about moving out when the office staff knew ahead of time that I had a newborn baby. I had to speak to a higher up to break my lease because the office staff didn’t care. Please save your money and look elsewhere in Amherst, this place is not worth it and I promise you will regret it. The walls are extremely thin, it’s no dishwasher, the parking is terrible, & exterminations happen daily that obviously ineffective."
"My brother and I can only thank the Princeton Court staff for all of their help and assisting with providing a nice place to live. It was me and my brother’s first apartment out of our family’s home and I’m happy to say that it was a good choice; I still recommend Princeton Court to any new grad/fledgling single Buffalonian :)) Everything is clean, well-maintained, very reasonably priced, structured and organized, and the area itself is very safe (for people with little ones too! Plus, the Amherst police are on point; nothing gets past them, and they are fast, very quick to assist with any concern. You will feel well-protected in this Amherst area.), friendly, with a nice mix of cultures, and is seemingly close to any location that you need to get to in Buffalo, NY. Their office and maintenance staff will be missed for sure. Everyone was pleasant and professional and honestly some of the hardest working people I’ve ever seen. Keep up the great work guys! :))"
"Worst staffs I have even seen. When I went to the office to apply one bedroom apartment, the staff there told me I was the first one to apply it and only one available soon. So I paid the $25 application fee. She told me they will contact me. But after two weeks, I haven't heard anything. I went to the office again. This time she told me my application form was just sent to their manager's desk. They haven't started process it. She also told me the one bedroom would be available two months later. She even lied to me she didn't say anything and she lied to me she didn't tell me I'm the first one to apply the coming soon one bedroom. Finally, I figured out they just want to you pay the $25 application fee. They don't listen to you at all after paying the $25 application fee. The staffs there are very irresponsible and somehow rude."
