"We rented a slip at the Chautauqua Marina for 2 years. Lou and his staff tolerate renters at best. Not friendly and always act irritated by any inquiry. It is one of the most expensive marinas on the lake and they charge to use their boat launch. The marina closes around 6pm most nights even in the summer time when it’s light until 9pm. When they close the marina they put a chain across the launch so if you ever need to get your boat or jet ski out you have to go to a public boat launch. Needless to say we left the marina this year and are happy at our new marina where staff is friendly and accommodating and boat launch is free to use and open 24 hours a day."

"This is why having a local place is so great... Buying gas for the boat, ignition switch broke. Walked to the parts desk, but they had just sold their last one. While I went back to the boat and was contemplating what to do, parts manager ran out with one ... He had rummaged through the shop and found a used one. Home under my own power. Try getting that from a chain store. These guys are first class, we're lucky to have Lou and his crew up here in the north bay."

"This is the 3rd summer we have rented a pontoon and we always have a great time! The rental return is prompt so make sure you pay attention to time but this has never been a problem for us. Boats are kept in well repair."
