"Always professional, efficient, prompt and thorough WHENEVER I have an issue that requires maintenance attention! I’ve lived here over 20 years and Kayla is the best manager in the 2+ decades that I’ve resided here. She and her “team” are top notch!!"
"Worst complex I've ever dealt with. Paid rent on time for over 2 years without any issues. Asked for 2 extra days to move out because neither of us could get time off work (3 kids) and they said "if we stay past midnight we have to pay for the whole month" (which they double rent if you ask to do monthly as well). So we will be moving until midnight tonight once we're both out of work. half of the appliances break every few weeks. Overall super trashy and VERY tiny apartments that are WAY overpriced. There are so many places in Camillus and surrounding areas that are much bigger, nicer, AND cheaper. Go figure. Do Not Recommend."
"Hello everyone. I wanted to share my perspective and personal experience living here. The overall layout of the apartments here (I chose a 3 bedroom) is honestly quite nice. The layout is fairly linear and the insides are updated although I cannot speak for other residents. I was able to work with the landlord there and maintenance at the time to perform some work and they made sure it was taken care of and my family satisfied. The buildings themselves are "old" yet sturdy. The grass is kept nice around surrounding areas and parking is adequate as well. Regarding their maintenance staff - they are hard working and honest. I do understand they are stretched thin and as such I believe preventative maintenance would solve issues before they occur rather than responding to countless maintenance requests which in my opinion contributes to tenant satisfaction. Still, despite this they do what they can and I have never had an issue with the work performed in my personal experience. Regarding their landlord I believe she has gone above and beyond and has met my expectations. The first month I was here we were having an electrical issue and she made sure to stay on top of it until it was fully resolved. I was skeptical at first but after that ordeal I was satisfied that I would be taken care of for the most part. Everyone has their good and bad experience but the people who have had a great experience tend to not convey their thoughts whereas people who has not been satisfied are more likely to. I believe this place can be even more amazing with an action plan to revamp and improve the existing infrastructure as well as making the complex feel more unified in the sense of social engagement (one day?). Perhaps more residents can utilize the community website to engage each other based off of hobbies, interests, play dates with children etc *wink*. The bad (but not too bad) - in my personal experience I believe one of the biggest issues here is the recycling bin pick up alongside max capacity for the bins. There are in my opinion too many residents to properly utilize these small recycling bins unless the number of pick ups are increased or the bins are larger to hold more. Trash - I don't feel this is an issue with the property but rather the individuals that reside within. Most residents appear friendly so in my opinion I don't feel this needs to be addressed here. My final thoughts - for the price you pay here initially it isn't bad at all. Everyone needs to do their part to keep their buildings clean and in turn that will allow more flexibility with maintenance staff to perform their work. There should be more maintenance staff as well as scheduled snow removal advertised via the community page for transparency. The community can do much more talking to one another but the community site was implemented by the landlord to give us the tools we needed to achieve this! If you are unhappy with your current living conditions talk to Audrey. She is the most "human" person I've spoken to as a landlord and overall a good person. I believe everything can be solved through problem solving and the willingness to apply a fix. Overall just talk and work out a solution, thank you all for your time and Happy Holidays."
"I lived here for two years. I felt safe, but don't have too many other positive things to say. The office staff had a habit of making promises and not delivering - they always had an excuse for why things didn't happen. The hall floors were disgusting - they rarely got vacuumed. In fact, we had a few extra "residents" in our hall - an empty soda cup and cigarette butts - which stayed with us for two months until the hall was finally taken care of. Maintenance was, for the most part, rude. Same thing can be said for other tenants. The parking lot was poorly plowed during the winter. I actually fell and gashed my knee open at one point. The mold in the bathroom was out of control and I was told to keep the window open when I showered. Kind of a rough solution in the winter! Anyway, it's a place to live, and I did feel safe there, but I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere if you can."
"Just to let you know first off, that nice 3D townhouse they show on apartments.com does not exist. there is only 1 townhouse that looks like that in all of the community, the rest look far far different from that. same layout but diff floors, wall colors, fixtures, kitchen etc. We planned to move into a townhouse that was clearly a section 8 or just downright bad tenet. the townhouse was trashed on first walk through and all the floors needed to be done. the basement smelled of pot and most walls were wrecked from damage. a week after first walk through we did another and it was better, they worked on it but it was still very dated, old and had issues. We were disappointed but we had to move into it because we had already set time off and were living with family who wanted us to move out. Luckily, the day of move in, another family turned in keys for another townhouse. so before we unloaded the Uhaul the manager took us to a MUCH nicer, better kept and totally outstanding compared to the one we were going to move into. we took keys for the new townhouse that day so we didn't have to move into the much rougher one. We got a move in goodie bag from barrington residental (management company) that was REALLY nice. stuff we needed for our first night in our own place since we didn't have time to run to the store with unloading everything. Audrey was great with us, answered all our questions, dealt with all our issues with the first townhouse we wanted fixed AND even made sure our current one had issues fixed that bugged us on move in (small stuff, paint, ceiling fans, vanity's etc). Overall i would recommend this complex, its a great location. for the price you pay your not going to find anything as nice nearby. i would just make sure before you set out on moving in you do a walk through so you don't get your hopes up for what you see on the pics on this site. the location is just awesome for all the local stores and food. ====some things people looking to move in might want to know! ===== -your security deposit is equal to your first months rent, and it does not count towards your first months rent. -if you have to put a hold fee down ($200) to hold the unit you want till move in day. that WILL go towards your first months rent. -they pay for everything besides Electric. all the appliances are Electric including the heating system, hot water tank, dryer, stove. -internet is provided as well. its about the high middle ground of internet speeds. you go pick up your equipment from a nearby spectrum and install it yourself or pay 90$ for them to come do it for you. you have your own internet for your unit and your own password. its not shared through the complex. it runs a smart tv and 2 high end gameing pcs just fine. ===Also to address some of the below reviews issues,==== the basements are basic basements with W/D hookups for townhouses. if you leave water down there, window open etc or place things against the walls its going to mold, its just what basements do. (dehumidifier helps) if you rent an apartment/townhouse anywhere, you need to expect rent increases at the end of your lease. its UNCOMMON for your rent to remain the same from year to year, especially at this complex that pays for most of your utilities. water rates change from year to year, sewer rates, minimum wage laws change worker pay rates all those things factor into your rent. i think many people think its commonplace for your rent to stay the same every year and its not. take a look around at the prices of the townhouses down the road from these and what you get compared to this location... the bathrooms tend to have a issue with getting mold on the silicon edges in the shower, also the ceilings. but if you take a hot steamy shower and shut the bathroom door when your done all your doing is trapping that moisture in the bathroom so ofc your going to have mold. open a window, turn the fan on to air it out before you shut the door after a shower."
