"We loved our stay! The location was beautiful. There was a pond and a creek in the backyard that made exploring around the house fun. It was less than 10 minutes to downtown Woodstock which had many great restaurants and grocery stores, etc. the upstairs bathroom was large and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the big windows everywhere had great views. Communication was almost immediate and all our questions were answered very quickly!"

"Glasco surpassed all my expectations!! It is a truly unique and unforgettable place. The house was SO beautiful but also comfortable.. it has a cozy home away from home feeling!!! The yard, the pond and the Mountain View make you feel like you are in a MOVIE!! Also I am buying the sheets they use, I am so obsessed! ALSO we were so close to Woodstock that has so many incredible restaurants (we loved cucina!), and there is a really cute local grocery store right in town too! We used the grill a bunch. The hosts Rob and Jenni were extremely responsive, going above and beyond to ensure we were all set. Their attention to detail and hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed! I can't wait to return to Glasco. This is a truly magical property that offers an escape from the norm. Hosted a small group of family members for a pre-wedding celebration and everyone was so impressed- every detail was thought out in the space, communication from Jenni and Rob was amazing, and it was even more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures. "There were many issues we encountered during our stay at the Glasco property which made our stay unpleasant and burdensome. While the property is beautiful and picturesque with charming architecture and decor, there were many problems that caused a lot of unnecessary stress for all of us that we cannot overlook. Dishwasher parts fell off many times since Day 1 The spray arm on the upper rack came off during the cycle and does not attach to the water source at the back of the machine The detergent pod holder lid is faulty - it does not release the pod and it was found at the bottom of the dishwasher Because of this we had to re-handwash all the glasses because they came out dirty The kitchen sink drain clogged many times (after being shown the plunger by Nidia, we have unclogged it ourselves about 6-8 times during the 2.5 days stay) The coffee machine filter size provided was not compatible with the machine. The coffee grains overflowed and exploded when making coffee, causing a large mess. Leaving rules such as "only 1 trash bag per night allowed" is highly unrealistic and un-accommodating for a guest count of 14 people. Half the time, most of us were stressing about how to deal with the scraps from having regular meals. The 1st floor bathroom shower and sink (which was shared among 5 people who stayed on the lower level) had draining issues constantly (ie. showering with a 1-2in. puddle) All lights in the 2nd bathroom upstairs were not functioning, except for the two by the mirror. It makes it extremely difficult to apply makeup and uncomfortable navigating the space at night. At the very least, we expected a house that is practical for the number of guests, such as a functioning kitchen and bathrooms, especially at a property that markets as "luxury" and charges almost $3,000 a night. We understand that the house is old and that unexpected issues can arise. However, the issues listed seem to be known persistent issues. We reserved the property for a retreat, expecting to relax and to spend quality time with our friends. Instead, we were stressed most of the time having to deal with all the unnecessary problems that we should not have to deal with in the first place. Plunging drains constantly throughout the stay is not exactly what we had in mind at a place that markets as a "luxurious stay". I want to note as well that our cooking was also not intensive for the 14 people. We had catered food delivered for almost all meals. The only times we cooked was to make pancakes one morning, and burgers for one lunch. Just rinsing dishes and drinking glasses alone were enough to clog the drain constantly. To be frank, we ended up wasting half of our groceries because we were hesitant to cook and make more dishes in the kitchen. We wrote back to Rob & Jenni asking for a partial refund but they replied back saying they can give us a discount on a future stay if we stay at least 4 more days. Ridiculous, they were trying to make more money off of us instead of taking responsibility for all the shortcoming. If you’re looking for a house that doesn’t function with unreliable, greedy host and management this is the right one."
