MS Nail - The Perfect Ten

"I came to this salon because my regular place was under construction. I needed a soak off and new gel x nails. These girls didn’t even know what they were doing. I called ahead and asked if they do gel x and I was told “Yes.” While in the chair, the nail tech was removing the previous gel x nail and was trying to remove it with a metro card. I was like “No, you have to soak them.” I should have walked out then when it clearly showed they didn’t know how to do gel x. So this is the process for gel x application: 1. Prep your nails however you see fit. 2. Apply the pH Bonder to your nail, which dries instantly. 3. Apply the Non-Acidic Gel Primer. (DID NOT DO THIS ) 4. Apply a thin layer of the Extend Gel to your nail and cure it under the LED lamp for 30 seconds. ( DID NOT DO THIS) 5. Soak a cotton swab in acetone and then swipe it on the contact side of the tip, covering any spot that will touch your natural nail. This essentially “files” the inside of the nail which will help the gel adhere better and last longer. If you have a nail drill, you can also lightly drill the contact side of the tip. ( I HAD TO TELL THE TECH TO DO THIS SO THEY STICK BETTER) 6. Apply the Extend Gel to the contact area and press the nail down onto your finger hard while curing it under the LED light. 7. File. the tip if needed. 8. Paint your nails to your liking. 9. Finish with Aprés Top Gelcoat and cure each nail after painting before curing the entire hand You spend $75 on gel x you want it done correctly. From afar the nails look fine but I know they are not gonna last 3+ weeks like they’re supposed to. I left the establishment and looked under the nails there was gaps I between my own nail and the gel x nail. I went back to get them fix and they had someone fill some extend gel in and file the excess. Please don’t say you know how to do something if you can’t. People come to get their nails done for the experience and spend $$. We want it done nicely."

"I can’t believe what I experienced at this salon. Maggie did powder manicure last week and after one week started to crack, so I went in to have them redone and Yoko redid my nails. She also did a horrible job. I told her, she was not doing them all the same size and she was arguing with me, saying, I did not tell her before she put the powder on my nails. Ladies, It’s common sense if you are getting your nails done they should be the same size! I can’t believe what she was saying. I asked her did you go to school to learn how to do nails? She did not respond! She continued with an attitude and did not want to do my nails as I was telling her you are not doing my nails all the same length. Maggie , the owner was looking down across where I was sitting and did not say or do anything to make it right. Horrible powder manicure!"

"My daughter and I have both had Ava, Kary and Maggie for gel/powder/regular manicures and pedicures and they all do top notch work with attention to detail. When I found out Ava came to this salon, I followed along with her from the previous salon I went to. It’s a longer drive for me but totally worth it since Ava is very thorough and neat and takes time with her mani/pedis and they last a long time."

"I have been searching for a new regular nail place for a while. I’ve tried perfect 10 twice and was very happy with the cleanliness of the salon. Everyone is very friendly, quick and efficient. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I am not completely happy with the powder gel manicure. After a week it starts to crack. I’ve had powder gel in the past and it lasts 2-3 weeks. I will try one more time before moving on because this place is convenient and I loved their pedicure."
