Reviews of Adirondack Building Restoration
"We had some foundation work done previously that was not completed properly. Adirondack Building Restoration stepped in, worked with our structural engineer and building inspector, came up with a plan, and properly corrected the work. The work was done timely and to specifications. The team were professional and went above and beyond to ensure the work was done correctly. We are completely satisfied with their work and highly recommend them to anyone seeking foundational work done."
"In 2020, Adirondack Building Restoration did work on our camp that helped save our foundation and kept our front porch from falling off the camp. They came in and replaced 15 piers to support and level our camp as well as reattached our front porch and replaced numerous floors. They were professional and their work was excellent. I would recommend them for their quality work. Kathy Kolb"
"Matt and his crew at Adirondack Building Restoration completed rebuilding 57 piers and footings that had failed underneath our main camp structure on Rocky Point on Little Moose Lake. They have put the old camp on solid supports so it will last indefinitely with all but 3 of the concrete piers now fastened to bedrock, drilled for rebar which is encased in the new concrete piers that now come above the ground surface. Pressure treated 6” x 6” timbers support 5 new laminated beams on which the floor joists now rest. The 3 piers that are not on bedrock go down 4’ deep below the frost line. Bolts, screws, and angle brackets stabilize each pier assembly. The team also resolved the integrity of the west porch under the living room door and rebuilt the stairs off each end of the porch beautifully. That door now works properly and the 30’ x 60’ living room floor is level without a 7-8” hump in the center. Also, the closet door in the 3rd floor center bedroom that always scraped on the hardwood floor is now squared up as it should be. The attention to detail, the thoroughness of the work, and the final results all seem better than we expected. Matt's crew delivered excellent workmanship, tidy results, and a new future for the old camp (built in 1905). We are especially grateful for the wonderful job you have done for us. Gus and Craig Hart"
"These guys are FABULOUS! I had searched for several years to find someone to replace the foundation of the greenhouse my grandfather built in 1975. Nobody local (Lake George region) would do it. Then I got a flyer in the mail from Adirondack Building Restoration. After multiple email exchanges and phone calls, they gave me a price and a date. Not only were they affordable, but they were on time, efficient, and did a PERFECT JOB. I've given their information to others who need projects done, and I'd rate them 10 stars if that option were available. KUDOS TO THEIR TEAM!!"
"First & foremost let me explain that my home was built in the mid 1890’s. Yes my home is over 100 years old! Research indicated that it was original built as a bunk house for lumberjack floating lumber down the Moose River to Thendara train station. Adirondack Restoration repaired a main supporting beam (nothing more than a very old “tree trunk” in my basement, which supported the front of my home! The gave me, a very reasonable estimate to do the replacement of the rotting tree wood! He gave me a start date, which was postponed once (a Monday) due to 24” snow over the weekend! They showed up on Tuesday of the same week. The crew were very professional and so neat it was very impressing! Job was completed on time even with the1 day delay. I wouldn’t think twice to reuse them if I ever needed restoration work again! Kathy De Thendara NY"
