"This is probably the best local property management company I've been with and I've been on my own for about 15 years now. I never have any problems contacting them for maintenance and they always follow up to make sure things are as they should be. The house we rent is BEAUTIFUL and I've never seen more reasonable rent pricing! Rebecca in particular has been a humongous help to me since I started renting with them and she's an asset to the company. I recommend Lighthouse to all my friends!"
"Will never rent from them again. The guy who show us the home we currently live in said that things would get fixed before we moved in. Once we moved in nothing was fixed. Made multiple phone calls to Rebecca and she stated that if we wanted a new house we should have bought one. Gina start off nice to make it seem like everything will be okay and assure you things will get done(they don’t) called Gina back and ask her why I was given multiple dates for things to get fixed and the maintenance never showed ? Her reply is “what do you want me to do” or she says there are more important things people need done. Meanwhile I have a leaking roof ,a blown outlet , flooded basement, mice holes that never been fixed since we moved in, squirrels in the attic chewing on wires because they have a window boarded up that they won’t fix because they claim cost to much and lastly a back door and windows with air drafting through them that they say they can’t do anything about. I can go on and on. If anyone who is currently renting from them and have this same issue with having things fixed call 311 and ask to speak with your section building inspector and the will serve them once that happens they have 48 hours to respond"
"This property management company is shady. I viewed an apartment, which was mediocre at best but decided to go with it. It was supposed to be ready for the first of the month...which is what the ad said and also the woman who showed it to me. So, I completed the application and paid half of the security in person on state street. When they call to say I am approved, they switch it up and say the apartment won't be ready on the 1st- maybe the 5th or 6th, maybe. And better yet, even though they misinformed me- I'm the one that got screwed ouy of half of my security deposit. Obviously, my child and belongings couldn't be in limbo for a week, maybe more. When I called to challenge the issue with the dates, I got nowhere. The woman that showed me the apartment was no longer communicative and ultimately I got shafted and was left out the deposit I placed on it. I'd suggest working with a different company because of how unprofessional and unethical this one is."
"My building has had 3 different managing companies in as many years, and Lighthouse is easily the best. I can't speak for other buildings or managers, but I'm happy with mine. Jeff is easy to reach and responds promptly. The building is kept clean including little details. They clean the common areas a little less frequently than one prior management company, but they clean much much more thoroughly. I'm happy to deal with road salt tracks every now and then in exchange for no dust, marks on walls, or streaks on glass. Trash pickup switched from the back of the building to the front (which makes parking much easier and trash pickup less noisy), but once in a while people still put trash at the back. Management takes care of it promptly when notified. Maintenance is both good and convenient-- I haven't needed to call, but when my tub drain caused a leak for my neighbor, they were there the same day. They checked everything, did an interim fix, and set up a reasonable time to come back the next day to fully snake the drainpipe. This winter, the heater stopped working well and the repair took several days, during which they brought in fairly large space heaters to put in the hallways. My apartment never dipped below 63 despite being pretty far from the heaters they brought in."
"Personally think that they should be closed down. They have absolutely no respect to paying tenants. Simply called to ask them for a print out/ or if they can e mail me all of my payments I've made. Because the new management company said I have a balance. And I've always been on time if not early and always over paid. By a few dollars. So there should be no balance. The gentlemen got really rude, claimed I had an attitude. When all I was doing is requesting information. He claimed he can only mail it. Didn't understand why they ask for my email if they cant fwd a simple statement. Is all I said. I don't recommend them. They also take care of a three tenant house next door. Absolutely horrible. They don't clean the yard. Or fix any issues wrong with the house. Smh"
