"I dropped a pair of wool dress pants for dry cleaning and a pair of jeans for plain bottom hem. The person in charge told me fixing jeans is easy and it is going to be free of charge and I only need to pay for dry cleaning (9.95 $). I stopped by today with my receipt and the person in charge looked my receipt and then decided to make a phone call. After the phone call the same person told me I'll be charged 15 $ for tailor job. I didn't want to argue and paid 24.95 $ as requested. I'm not going to be a customer again and I'm not recommening this business."

"They do great work with tailoring, but it's extremely frustrating because there is a disconnect with whoever normally answers their phone and the ladies that actually work in the store. Firstly, everyone is very nice/polite. There's no issue with anyone's behavior or the quality of the work. There's just a drop in communication. Whenever I call their shop number, whoever answers the phone speaks English very well and is easy to communicate with. When I go into the store, the ladies working do not speak English very well and I typically have to use Google translate to try and communicate with them. The lady on the phone says one thing, the ladies in the store say another. I had to call multiple times and go in multiple times to make sure my pants got tailored correctly. The price also kept changing, it would be nice to know up front before agreeing to the service. That being said, 10/10 on the tapering of my pants."

"This is the second time I try their wash and fold services, and both times I’ve found dirty / ruined clothing. I’ve attached pictures of my white sheets that came back as an off white color. Also, there is literally a black stain on one of the sheets. The small white blanket literally came back tan. The small towel came back dirty. I even had to throw away a small towel because it was ruined. They turned most of my white sheets, pillow cases, and blankets into tan color. I am highly dissatisfied with the way my clothing was washed."

"I just recently started using Sophie's Laundry for laundering of my whites/towels and, thus far, it has been a great experience working with them! I love that they use hypoallergenic soaps during washes (I have a dog who struggles with allergies, so this is awesome)! They're very accommodating and the service is quick. The location on 181st street is also very convenient. I will definitely return here for laundry services!"
