"Emily's Cleaning came in post construction of our new office building in Oriskany. They did a phenomenal job and we could not be happier with the results! They are continuing to service the location with a bi-weekly service. A+ job!"
"This business is a SCAM! Charged me $650 and NEVER showed up! I come from 4+ years of social media marketing for small businesses, so I am the first to support small and promote small business. It hurts me to slam any business on here, but I have to protect people from this business. I had recently moved into a small, two bedroom apartment in Rome, NY, and both myself and my roommate are extremely busy with full time jobs. We both agreed we should find a cleaning company to come in and give us a nice “fresh” start. Both my roommate and I are extremely clean people, we just needed someone to come in and do the deep dusting/disinfecting of our bathroom and kitchen. We agreed we would split the cost of the service and it was a good investment. When I contacted ECC, they told me that based on the square footage of my house and the condition (I sent them pictures), I’d be paying around $250 for their service because my house wasn’t trashed. They told me the most they charge is $650 and that’s if there’s a larger crew and the house is basically in “hoarder” condition. On the cleaning checklist I asked them to clean the kitchen, bathroom, and living room including dust surfaces, mop, and sweep. I did not have them do the bedrooms or the basement. We agreed on a time for the company to come, which was while myself and my roommate were working. When I arrived home that day, I could have SWORN they did not even show up to my house. The floors were dirtier than before as if they had swept everything into one big pile and left it. There were dirty footprints on my toilet seat as if they stepped on it with their shoes to dust high surfaces. My bathroom mirror was absolutely covered in prints, and my counters were as if someone had wiped crumbs into one pile. It did not even smell like cleaning supplies in my house! I received an invoice shortly after the service stating I owe $650!!!! They also charged me extra for cleaning my windows (which I never asked for). Immediately I called the company. The woman on the phone (Marie) told me that the reason the price is so high is because of the labor hours. Two girls at my house for 5 hours each, 10 so 10 hours worth of work is what they charged me for! What kind of ridiculous math is that? I immediately told Marie my issues and the incorrect invoice, and they dropped the price to around $430. She stated that the girls who came were new, and that is why the cleaning was subpar. I still stated how outrageous this was, as I was expecting a $250 MAXIMUM service as I was told. They refused to change the price, but said they would come back to clean my house for free to help the girls “learn from their mistakes”. I expressed compete lack of trust for their company to ever be in my house again, so I refused the service. They had my card information on file (you can’t proceed without putting your card information in first - A SCAM!), so I had to cancel my card and order a new one because I absolutely refused to pay for that service. I was invoiced and threatened via phone and email every day, until finally they threatened to take me to collections. Months later I got a letter from their lawyers threatening legal action if I did not pay. Because I am young, single, and working full time trying to support myself, I could not risk going to collections over this - so I had to pay $430 for 0 service provided to me. Emily’s Cleaning Company - you are an absolute scam and for $430, you should have cut your losses and considered it a learning experience for your business and your lazy employees."
"The cleaning team we had today was awesome! Our house has never been so spotless and they hit every spec of dirt! They were efficient, friendly, non-judgmental and very, very detailed. I'd recommend them any time and will definitely call them again!"
"Not good. Got a deep cleaning for a move out. Had to reclean entire downstairs. In response to your reply: 1) I requested a deep clean for a move out. I guess you also didn’t listen when I hired you. 2) when I re-cleaned I was barefoot and my feet were black. Are you telling me an initial clean doesn’t involve sweeping and mopping the floor. Take some accountability. .."
