"What I Admired: Location: The cottage's location is nothing short of perfect. Its proximity to the cove offers a tranquil escape, allowing to immerse in the soothing ambiance of nature. Coziness: The cottage exudes a warm, welcoming vibe that instantly makes one feel like at home. Its cozy interior, coupled with pleasant decor, creates a haven of comfort. Equipment and Comfort: Every element in the cottage, from the furniture to the appliances, is thoughtfully selected for comfort and convenience. This attention to detail significantly elevated the quality of my stay. Amenities: The array of amenities, each crafted with love and care, added a personal touch that sets Maple Cottage apart. Cleanliness: I was particularly impressed with the impeccable cleanliness of the bathrooms and the well-maintained kitchenware. Hot Tub: An absolute highlight! The hot tub provided a perfect relaxation. Suggestion for Improvement: While my stay was near flawless, a minor suggestion would be to consider adding a shower and extra ventilation in the hot tub house. In conclusion, my stay at Ferryland Cottage was a delightful and exceeded my expectations. I look forward to my next visit and will undoubtedly recommend Ferryland Cottage to friends and family seeking a serene getaway"
"Maple Cottage was beautiful and very relaxing. Jan was a responsive and considerate host. The home was so accommodating for our group of 4 sisters. The new renovations are gorgeous. The shoreline is lovely and peaceful. We spent many relaxing hours just enjoying the sound of the waves and searching for the beautiful rocks that comprise the beach there. Enjoyed the kayaks. Enjoyed hiking the trails in Beechwood State Park that can be accessed directly behind the cottage. The hot tub was exceptional. Visited area winery, brewery, farm stands and Sodus Point historic lighthouse. Really a special place."
"My husband, two kids, and I were lucky enough to be able to experience both the Maple Cottage and the Pine Cottage. Both have absolutely stunning views of the water even from inside the houses! Both were exceptionally clean, with beds that (I have to admit!) were more comfortable than ours at home. The kitchens/bathrooms were very well stocked with utensils, cooking supplies, towels, and organized with labels (very helpful as guests). Jan and her cleaning/maintenance crew clearly put a ton of time, effort, and heart into creating spaces for her guests that are as lovely and comfortable as possible. We cannot overstate Jan's hospitality! At Maple, we loved the modern yet cozy vibe. The enclosed/fenced-in deck was one of our favorite features. We loved enjoying the lake view there on the deck under the dappling shade of maple trees (while also knowing that our kids/dogs were enclosed). The Maple Cottage was personally my favorite of the two - it is sweetly decorated with a touch of cozy throwback styles while being crisp, clean, and updated. What a welcoming light and airy find! My kids'/husband's favorite was the Pine Cottage (don't get me wrong - I liked it very much too!) The decor is basically what you might describe as "Cozy Cottage" with lots of rich wooden details and vintage vibes. The newly renovated upstairs room of bunk beds is very cool. As a kid, this would have been my heaven! With bunk beds, a queen, new wood walls/ceilings, and a tv, my kids were completely set on Pine being their favorite! As my husband and I described our thoughts on the properties, we thought that for us personally, both cottages were cozy, Maple being slightly more light and modern, and Pine being more nostalgic and the perfect place anyone would love to cozy up in blankets during the holidays sipping on hot chocolate by the fire (or during the summer after a big day of kayaking like we did!) Both are uniquely furnishing/decorated and very inviting stays that blew our expectations out of the water. Jan is incredibly hospitable with a heart set on taking care of her guests. We've never met a kinder or more accommodating host! Jan gave a very impressive outline of places to eat, where to order pizza delivery, things to do, places to see, etc. We enjoyed the local public beach about 10 minutes away, as well as the Burnap Farms marketplace that Jan recommended. What a sweet local area! And the produce! So fresh, and so tasty. The hot tub space between the two cottages was also fabulous. We loved the smell of the cedar wood that lined the walls. It both looked and smelled luxurious. When the lake was too chilly for swimming, the hot tub was a total hit with the whole family. All in all, I cannot recommend both cottages enough. You can feel serene just enjoying the lakeside waves, or you can be adventurous exploring the state park literally across the street. You can chill on the deck or head out onto the private beach for swimming or kayaking. We already miss it. Thank you Jan for a wonderful family vacation!!!"
"Great place to stay with family/friends with beautiful view of the lake. It's a nice quiet area to relax and enjoy. Kids loved using the kayaks/paddle boats when the water was calm and the breeze in the evening was spectacular. Jan was very responsive and attentive to any needs that arose. I advise to bring bug spray, as the mosquitos had a feast, but it may have been due to a full day of rain and the kids going in and out of the cottage, leaving the screen doors open. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time. Looking forward to staying again."
"We stayed for the weekend in early June. The house had plenty of room for our family of 8. I liked having a place that was tucked back away from busier tourist areas and having the lake right outside our door was a huge bonus!! The water was quite cold yet but we really enjoyed soaking in the views and playing alongside the water. I was ecstatic that you could get both the sunrise and sunset views over the water!! Great place for a quiet, family-friendly, getaway."
