"I wish I lived close enough to shop in person. All of the several items I have ordered from the Period Bath web site have been received promptly and were even better than expected. Hard to beat for quality, price and variety if you are restoring a period bath."
"Ordered a unit letter for the door of my condo. Finding these letters in oil-rubbed bronze proved extremely difficult, and Historic House Parts was the only place I could find the letter “A.” Turns out I could order these letters in black though. So when I asked if I could return the letter “A,” Historic House Parts said sure thing. There was no return label sent, just instructions on how and where to return it. When I brought it to UPS to ship it back, it would have been over half the price I paid for the letter. Historic House Parts said they can’t afford to send out return labels for items that aren’t broken or incorrectly sent on their end. The letter was more expensive than I’d like it to have been, which is unfortunate. I don’t think I will be buying anything from this company again in the future."
"Kathy Flemming is a miracle worker and a problem solver! I am working on a renovation and looking to replace a 1950's tile soap dish that was missing from the wall above the bathroom sink. Based on the opening I provided, she suggested that I , instead, might try a Hall Mack recessed tumbler. To my delight, it was a perfect fit, what a relief.... I had been going down the wrong path on my solution and almost gave up, but Kathy identified a period piece that matched all the other hardware in the bathroom and was a perfect solution. Kathy really knows her stuff. Thanks again! I REALLY appreciate it."
"Ordered three (3) miniature glass student lampshades that were of poor quality - rims were not a consistent thickness. If you get an item that is of poor quality AND you pay the return shipping charges you are still charged a restocking fee. Not worth the risk. ** To your response: Regarding my return, I actually did contact Historic Houseparts on August 15, 2023 through your website email with a response from Chris Jones, "we will respond as soon as we can" with no further response from your company. I had to call Historic Houseparts to get information on returning my purchase and to follow up with my refund received on September 18, 2023."
"Really beautiful antiques. I wish more things had prices on them but I love going into the warehouses and hunting for restoration ideas. There is always something new to see."
