"good spot to take the kids fishing of the floating dock."
"Small aluminum dock, easy parking. Other reviewers have complained about the dock being wobbly..it is a little but it works fine. Others have said it’s difficult to get into a kayak as it’s a foot above the water..here’s what I do..place your boat in the water, get onto your belly with your feet facing the boat, slide your feet into the boat and as your midsection gets in turn around putting your behind in the seat..your in. Repeat this procedure later to get out."
"Easy boat ramp and plenty of parking. The Wallkill is beautiful in both directions. We have seen muskrat (right next to the dock and didn't care about us), great blue herons, green herons, sandpiper, hawks, an immature eagle and lots of Turtle's. Beautiful spot."
"It's legal public access, but that's about it. The narrow floating dock wobbles as you move on it, but it's probably not bad for getting in and out of most canoes. Unfortunately it's about a foot above the water, which is much less than ideal for launching kayaks, because the seat will be a lot lower than the dock. It would benefit tremendously from a launch platform that would let kayaks be stable and/or some railings to grab hold of."
"Small parking area for about six cars, providing access to the Wallkill River for fisherman and paddlers. No picnic tables, outhouses or other amenities. The current is always gentle in the summer. From here, you can paddle upstream to Sojourner Truth Park or downstream to Perrine's Bridge Park."
