"Going through the lock was a very interesting and fun experience. I highly recommend it and the Sam Patch boat tour."
"Camping at this lock is not that great. There are many lights on at night, the water in the lock is pretty loud, there's a main street nearby AND they seem to be really strict about wanting everyone to stay on the north side of the lock. It does not have the most welcoming vibe. Nevertheless I am very thankful that they allow you to camp here."
"A great place for a walk along the canal. There is a kayak launch here and on the south side a kayak rental and white water course. One of the photo shows a art class using the canal as the subject."
"Lock 32 is a great location to see the lock up close. It is a park like setting next to the canal with wonderful paved bike/walk/running path that is very scenic. There is an amazing observation deck with a bench where you can see in both directions and you'd be able to 9bserve any traffic in the canal go through the lock. There are benches along the canal to rest or observe the nature. I could see on the opposite side of the canal from where I was (easy walking distance over the bridge) there was a kayak and paddle board rental location. I didn't go over there to know any more details about that. There were maps and history boards located a few places where you could see the whole canal system across the state will all the locks numbered. Probably a great location at lock 32 to teach small children how the locks work, and be able to see it work from the observation deck. They will remember it forever!"
"Nice park. Its great for walking, biking, and fishing. Also watching the boats come through the lock is interesting"
