"Had a pretty unfortunate experience. We went and signed up and never got any sort of tour or anything (felt rushed into the process). We ended up signing up only to find out that the locker room floors look like they’ve never been cleaned, the sauna smells like someone died in it, and it is nearly impossible to use any weight equipment from 2:30-7:30 due to there being too many people and not enough equipment We signed up and within 4 days asked if we could cancel and get a refund or at least a partial refund (we literally only went for FOUR DAYS!!!) only to be told that they wouldn’t do it. Super disappointed, highly do not recommend. Unclean, too busy, bad environment."

"This is the only YMCA location that I feel is worth the price of monthly membership. The other locations closer to me unfortunately are not as clean, up to date, or have much for equipment. I wish every location could be updated and modeled after Schottland."

"I consider myself lucky to have access to this YMCA! It is always clean and neat and the equipment, including the pool/hot tub, are always kept in tiptop shape. You can tell from the equipment - like the eGym that the people that designed everything knew what they were doing. Since starting at the Y i feel stronger and aerobically more fit. Everyone you meet is friendly and the employees are all very helpful. If you need something all you need to do is ask. Additionally, there are so many activities that you can get involved in from cooking classes to water aerobics that sometimes it is hard to choose. Plus, the hours that the Y is open really helps me work around other schedules in my life. During my working career it was difficult to find time for myself but now that I am retired, the Y is perfect for keeping me healthy and active. Again, I consider myself lucky."

"This YMCA was great. From the moment I entered I was welcomed by a very kind woman who had an apparent affection for her place of employment. She took the time to talk to me about some of the offerings, including the water massager, and urged me to walk around and check it out. This place is huge. The track is very nice as it overlooks multiple sports courts, and the large windows let in ample sunshine. It was clean and well staffed. Every worker I talked to was polite and welcoming. All the patrons who worked out around me showed good gym etiquette. The pool area was nice, and the hot tub had some great jets. Locker rooms were also clean and beautiful. Keep up the great work Schottland YMCA. Maybe an extra hook in the shower as I used one for my towel and one for my shower bag, and I could've used one more. Or if they were double hooks"
