Reviews of Sodus Point Beach Park
"Excellent views. Not a place I'd ever consider swimming (personal). Bathrooms were decently clean and have a sand shower. Sad to see erosion, but glad to see it being addressed here too. Plenty of free parking. Lifeguards on duty. Small snack shop. Good walkability."
"We always check the Facebook site to see what the water temperature and clarity is for the day. Every time we've gone down when they've said it's good, it's been beautiful. Love the play and food area for small get-togethers."
"Grew up going to Sodus Point Beach! Its a Fantastic Free beach that has an awesome sandbar in the Bayside for anyone with a boat or tube during the summer time months. This beach is Lake Ontario, which is part of the Finger Lakes here in Upstate New York. Things you can do at Sodus Point Beach Fish off the Pier Beach Volleyball Courts Pavillion with tables & Grills Playground for children Read a Book Swim Tan or enjoy the Sun Order Food Watch the Sunset Hit the town Bars Great Vacation Spot highly recommend especially in the warmer months!"
"Nice park, great access to the lighthouse, beach and pier. There was one large, dirty and half broken porta potty there instead of a clean restroom. Not really well taken care of. But winter location and view of nature."
"Beach is small, clean, not too crowded. During our 7 days stay, some days water was clear, other days there was a lot of algae. Water temp was ok, some days it was a little too cold to swim, in my opinion. The lighthouse is beautiful, but the odor (sewage?) was very strong around that area. The sunsets on the beach are amazing."
