"Ok so this place is amazing such good food and what a vibe. Me and my friends had the best time. Words cannot explain how amazing the food is here. If you’re in Brooklyn definitely stop by here. AMAZING!!!!!!!"
"Amazing food and drinks. Super friendly staff, great vibe! We had the Curry crab tostones, seafood roti, sampler, spicy shrimp, coconut rice, codfish fritters, and pumpkin corn soup between two visits, had to come back it was so good! Rum punch hits the spot. LOVE it here. Definitely should be on your list of go to Caribbean restaurants in bk!"
"I came in on a Sunday afternoon and despite the crowd I was quickly seated. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The music and aesthetic was also perfect! I ordered the Mac and cheese, chicken curry roti, and rum punch. Everything was seasoned to perfection and came out nice and hot.The owners were also here and super pleasant. Definitely would come here again."
"Stella is a bar/ restaurant that serves Jamaican food. We had a few cocktails called Ting aling are nice and strong. It tequila based with pineapple and fresh lime. There was an amazing dj to set the vide. Playing a lot of different rnb. We ordered the jerk bacchanal it had jerk chicken, jerk pan fried salmon, it had jerk prawns and mussels. You also get to choose the two side we chose garlic vegetables and plain rice, lats start with the prawns there where cooked to perfection they where soft and full of flavour. The chicken was so moist. Even the breast was tender and so juicy. The salmon was so nice it was cooked all the way through and was still flaky. The mussels where nice and fresh. The jerk flavour was so blanches it had a bit of a tang and a little sweet not overly Spicy! We asked for some orange sauce on the side it had a bit more heat! I highly recommend this restaurant. As I was leaving the owner was smiling and asked how the meal was. I said it was amazing the chicken was so moist he was laughing and had a big smile on his face! Please support this restaurant you won’t be disappointed."
"This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend to have impromptu business convo. This review is from the new location. The decor was lovely, with all the West Indian flags on the wall. They had a DJ that kept the vibe going, but the music was loud. It didn’t allow for any cross-the-table conversation. An older couple came in and lowered the music but didn’t order, and upon them leaving, the music went back to bashment levels. The waiter that served us was pleasant and very attentative. I had a fantastic ginger beer (they need to bottle it). All the food looked amazing!!! We started with the codfish fritters (cakes) with the incredible spicy tamarind sauce. I ordered the jerk chicken with a side of Mac and cheese. My jerk chicken wasn’t hot, but it tasted good and was moist; the coleslaw that came with it on the side was great (I had apprehension about coleslaw as the side that comes with it, but I was pleasantly surprised). I also ordered some sorrel, which was also good. Unfortunately, as I got down to the bone of my chicken, it had a bloody knuckle, and the meat around it also had signs of pink and red. I waved over a waitress (not our original server) and showed her the undercooked areas, and she asked me if I didn’t want it. She took it away after I told her no. I wondered why she thought that was acceptable, especially after pointing it out. My original waiter asked me if I wanted anything else as a rectification, but I declined, and they took it off the bill. I ate the Mac and cheese, which was great. After the fact, we also ordered some bread pudding, which was a 10! It is worth just going there for that. I wanted to love the food, especially after coming with an excellent recommendation from a friend who had been going there since their last location and was even recognized by our initial waiter. I humbly recommend lowering the music so people can have conversations and take cues from the patrons. The music may be prohibitive if you don’t see them engaging that. Regarding the music, offer a concession, even if it is a free drink or dessert. I can’t say I would go there again, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I did. #cheers"
