Reviews of Knights Inn Jamaica
"This place the price & it's employees are amazing. Absolutely the place I will be returning to every time I visit NYC. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the rooms didn't have the norms of coffee machine blow dryer etc. Add those in & upgrade the TV & it's all good."
"We had a really bad experience in this hotel. I understand you get what you paid for but in this situation the hotel lied. I called the hotel to find out if they have complimentary shuttle to JFK, they said yes. We arrived at the lobby only to find out that they no longer have shuttle bus because of new management and they had no plan for customers who already paid. That’s to tell you that the new management is heading the wrong way. We had to pay for cab in the morning. Room quality, was 2 out of 10. There was a crazy noise on the 2nd floor all night. Elevator was bad; you will end up dragging your bags on the stairs. Guest service was 7 out of 10. The overall experience with this hotel is 2 out of 10 and I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone."
"We stayed at this hotel on the 1st of November 2016 in room 507. We had a terrible stay at this hotel. Was not clean, stains on bed spread, terrible parking, noisy could hear people hollering and carrying on all night along on the street outside, because of the one paned windows heard plenty of sirens. Pillows smelt moldy, and room was damp. Our first sign we should have left was the absence of the smoke detector. It had been pulled off of the ceiling. Woke up feeling itchy so took my flashlight on my phone and searched around the unclean bed skirt and found bed bugs. Then noticed blood on the sheets from where I had been bit. No compensation from desk clerk at hotel. The person from Expedia who booked our flights and hotel recommended this one. I would advise travellers to avoid this hotel. I hate to be a complainer but it really was not a nice hotel to stay at."
"guys, this is my plain and honest suggestion. If you are ever considering on staying on this hotel then think twice because i had such a terrible experience few days back. I paid $180 per night but when i enter into a room, room was smelling so bad, there was stain on towel and also Big hole on ceiling and was cover with newspaper to hide that hole. There was mold in the room. if you walk into to a room with your barefoot, you can feel dirt in your foot. This is a total crap hotel around that area."
"Mixed bag. The neighborhood seemed ROUGH but the review's for the hotel not the neighborhood. Due to a scheduling issue with a flight out of JFK I needed a room on no notice - had to call right from the help desk at the airport. The price was high but they were able to accommodate me. It's NYC and it was a last-LAST minute booking so of course there was a premium for that, I understand. I had to wait about half an hour plus for the shuttle - some of the higher end hotel's shuttles came and went 2 or 3 times before mine showed up. But the driver was nice and the hotel just a few minutes from the airport. The area - well, as a woman alone I would not have gone out of the hotel after dark. But I hadn't intended to anyway, just needed a place to crash for a few hours, so that was all right. Front desk clerk was very nice, came around and helped me to the elevator with my suitcase after getting me checked in. Room was all right. It's the only hotel room I've ever stayed in that was below ground level - my window was eye-level to the sidewalk. Directly across the street there was a flashing neon liquor store sign. But once I closed the drapes none of that mattered. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and I actually slept really well there, which I don't always, when in a strange place. Was awakened once by people shouting on the sidewalk. Breakfast was included in the stay. Shuttle took me back to JFK. So as I said the experience was a mixed bag but it sure beat the hell out of spending the night on the airport floor and for that I'm grateful."
