Reviews of Lex View Inn at JFK Airport
"This is not a 3 star hotel lmao. It smells like smoke everywhere in the building, in the halls, in the rooms. Not clean. Mattress has spots on the sides and corners. There's rust in the room, and hall. The lobby person only accepted cash. Lmao imagine staying here for multiple days and having to pay hundreds/thousands in cash. Didn't see bedbugs. If you just need a place to sleep for a day cheaply, then whatever. There's nothing good here except you have a room to sleep with a working door and bathroom. However I'm leaving 2 stars because even though it's bad, it could be worse. Would recommend going somewhere else."
"The front desk person was very rude, as if we were interrupting him in the middle of something very important. Giant moths were crawling all over the lobby floor. The first room they put us in was on the 4th floor, and the elevator ride was scary. It seemed as if it hadn't been maintained for years, groaning and shuddering, half the buttons broken or missing (including the fire department emergency buttons). When we walked in the room, it was freezing and smelled very strongly of cigarettes, and one of the windows was literally missing (and it's a long way down on the 4th floor) which was why it was so cold in the room, and explained the wet carpet. When we went back down to the front desk (because the in-room phone didn't work, so I don't know why they say they have room service), the guy was even more agitated , huffing and sighing and slamming things around and saying as few words as possible. The next room was decent, however. Still tiny, and this phone didn't work either, but at least it smelled better, the lights worked, and it had all the windows. I will not stay here again."
"Cozy and quiet. I like that they clean the room every day. I asked to check out 1 hour later because I had a zoom interview and the hotel staff was very nice. The only problem is that there're homeless around the train station."
"To begin, the man at the front desk was very disrespectful. I had to let him know that my tv wasn’t working and that it was pretty inconvenient that I had to relay this message to him face to face since the phone in the room wasn’t working either. Then he had the nerve to tell me I only paid $95. How rude can you’d be. To top everything off. The room was filthy, bathroom lights were not working. Everything was in shambles thank God it’s only 1 night. 0/10 would not recommend keep your money please"
"The worst experience I had staying at a so called 3 star hotel. First experience before getting into the room was attempting to open the door, and the door lock was not working. It took multiple staff members to get into the room. I got into the room, but the door lock was not fixed at all. Once I finally got into the room, none of the lights would turn on. I wanted to call the hotel service to complain about the lights not working, but when I tried to, the phone wire was cut off from the wall. The bed sheets and pillow covers were also incredibly smelly and not washed, nor were the towels in the bathroom clean. And the worse of it all was seeing roaches in the bathroom and room freely roaming around. There was no hot water in the bathroom as well. I was barely able to sleep, nor did I feel comfortable sleeping in a room with so many problems. I will not advice anyone to stay at this hotel at all."
