"In desperate need of the services of an attorney to take care of some extremely time sensitive legal matters concerning my senior aunt, I reached out to this firm on Yelp. A very personable associate of the firm responded and I felt comfortable to move the conversation to my personal email, even having a chatty telephone call with him. I provided some very personal initial information and was told I would hear back and I did. One of the partners was included in the email conversation where they shared a bit of details along with their retainer fee of $5,000. I then emailed to ask when payment was due so I could I take care of it. It's now almost a month later and crickets. What's most inappropriate is how much of my energy & time was unnecessarily wasted. I was not even given the professional courtesy and respect to be told by them that they would not be taking me on as a client -- after all the back and forth we did."
