Reviews
"Great spot! I wish there was live music when we were there on a Saturday night, but maybe it was going to happen later on..? Very cool place, great drinks, lots of fun. Not a terribly long wait to get in. Parking is findable nearby, not too bad. They do have a coat check, it was $3/coat."
"I love this place. A lot of restaurants in New York are either very streamlined or calculatedly weird/cutesy. My personal opinion is that ambience is equally important as food, and I find this place's decor/ambience to be sincere and comforting. My girlfriend and I went last night and everyone from the host to the server was so accommodating and kind. I know other reviews are mixed about the food, but I personally love it. Not too elevated but clearly using high-quality ingredients and interesting flavors. I was so sad to see it almost empty on a Sunday night, if I lived closer I would come here all the time."
"This place has a fun vibe. You definitely come here for the ambiance. We were a large group (9 people) so we had to get the pre fix menu and we had a 1.5 hour time limit. The pre fix included: - dips and bread (quite nice, the red dip was my favorite) (4/5) - salad (3.5/5) - cabbage “steak” and lamb - since I don’t eat meat I only tried the cabbage steak but I thought it was quite tasty! (4/5) - two types of fries and dip (3.5/5) - mouse dessert with pistachios and coconut (3.5/5) For drinks I got the Maggie (4.5/5) I thought this was very refreshing - I ended up reordering :). Overall it was fun, the prefix menu made it easy for a large group. I recommend to make a reservation."
"The food is delicious, the staff is pleasant and professional. The portion sizes are all over the place for the price. We ordered the marinated lamb sirloin and for $30+ it was barely enough for one person. On the other hand, the whole grilled bass, which was also $30+ was enough to feed three people. The cheese curds were about as delicious as I've ever had; having grown up in the Midwest, I really wanted some potatoey and gravy on them though! We also ordered the calamari and it was very good as well, though touted as having shawarma seasoning on it, we couldn't find that flavor ourselves. The music was a bit loud for my preferences. All in a good kitschy dining experience. The loud music and small portion of lamb were my reason for taking off two stars."
"Incredible venue and experience for our wedding in September! The space is so unique and food delicious. People haven't stopped telling us how amazing The Turk's Inn was. We started with the ceremony and cocktails on the roof before the food being served in the dining room, finishing with dancing and drinks in the Sultan Room. Natalie and Varun were super accommodating and great on the day of. Everything was super smooth and we didn't have to worry about anything. Even before having our wedding here, the restaurant was phenomenal."
