"I just left the store. I hope this message reaches management or a supervisor. I was checking out with my purchases at register 1 and a sweet young lady named Raquel assisted me. She commented on my dog decorations I had just bought for my kitchen- she asked if I had dogs and what kind. She then asked for pictures and what breed they were. She was so sweet and happy to be having an interaction with a customer, and it made my day as well. What Raquel didn’t know is that my trip to hobby lobby today wasn’t a spur of the moment, but a planned trip to buy a memorial frame for one of my Dogs that passed away just a few days ago. She was just a puppy and it was very unexpected. I had been crying on the way to the store and was trying my best to hold it together- and had prayed on the car ride there for strength and a sign everything was going to be okay. Having that conversation with Raquel showed me that I did have the strength and it was a true sign that God is around me during this tragedy in my life. Thank you Raquel for making a choice to be kind today, instead of meandering through your workday. You have made a difference to me.
