"After hearing my bf rave for months about his fav pork & rice lunch spot on forest ave, I finally stopped it today myself and it was 1pm and everything was definitely looking delicious & homemade and amazing . I myself got the beefw cheese Empanadas , and I'm just upset I didn't buy more. Soooo good. So fresh. Yum!"

"After seeing all these good reviews exc I decided to grab food for me and my mother. when I got there it was looking good. I got the potatoes and veggies with the salmon. As I arrived home, when my mother bit on to the potato it was hard and she was disappointed and hungry. I feel bad because I argue with her until I had some of my plate and sadly, was undercooked. Veggies were also the same way carrots were hard. I hate to write this but I hope that they can use this honest critic as a way to improve and not have that occur again. Not sure if I'll be getting any veggies or potatoes I'll stick to their appetizers."

"The owner and his family are top notch people... so friendly... the ready food is fantastic... always a selection of beef, chicken, pork with rice n beans...the Empanada's are outstanding...Bonus- they have all the essentials like Eggs, bread and milk. Plus much more, like beer, soda, cold cuts subs etc.."

"I had the pernil with rice and beans and they were absolutely fantastic. The pork was piled high, juicy, and so flavorful. I also got the meat and cheese & chicken and cheese empanadas and if you don’t get them while you’re there, you’re doing it wrong. Highly recommend!"
