"Hotel was clean but rooms were very outdated and run down. Sheets and cover for bedding was frayed and needed to be replaced. The location is a bit sketchy as well. The staff was amazing however, so helpful and accommodating, best part of staying there for sure!"
"Great location. We were for some reason surprised by this. But the hint is in the title, the place is surrounded by garden shops and florists which made it very nice. It’s also only a few blocks walk from the Empire State and then on to Times Square. All very walkable in the dry. Multiple nearby subway stops for when it’s wet. The staff were lovely from start to end. You could have a laugh with them which is important for Irish people. You could tell they liked being there and had some fun in their work, which sets a great tone. The room was bloody massive. We had 2x double beds and we were just a couple. Not a complaint. The TV had so much to watch, too. Shower was really good and the room had more amenities than expected. Hair dryer, fridge, iron, espresso machine, honestly I’m used to having 1 or 2 of these in a room but this was equipped to the max. The only drawback for me was that the room window let in a huge amount of noise and cold air. We tried everything with it but it seemed it was just a gap which we plugged with tissue for the remainder of the stay. This cut the noise level by about 30-40% and made sleeping easier. The bed was very comfortable too."
"Run down, the shower water did not get hot, the steam table was broken so the "included breakfast" was little more than a continental breakfast. My daughter went down to ask the front desk agent for more pillows (around 9pm) and she was told the person that had the key to the linen closet had left for the night. I worked in hotels for 15 years (most of those with Hilton) and know that that is not how hotels function. The only bright spots were the location and the service staff in the restaurant. They were attentive, kept the coffee flowing, and made the best of a bad situation. With no hot showers, and no hot food I would not stay here again nor recommend it to others."
"Hotel is a good location with walkability to many tourist locations. Brought my kids to NYC for their first visit and I wasn’t expecting a hotel that felt more like a college dorm than a hotel. Because of various stains on room carpets, our room never felt clean. One of our lights wasn’t working and the metal doors had many dings and scratches. Hotel definitely needs updating. Overall out stay was fine but I would not stay here again."
"Hotel lobby was very small. Staff at the front desk was extremely slow.. I arrived around 6 pm there was nothing at the hotel open so I can have a meal after traveling from another state. Room was nice and clean. I am alway happy when there is at least coffee water and a microwave."
