"This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a attorney to date in my life. I have never written a review on google before and I want to share my experience for others to read and determine if you want to provide business to this attorney. Diego's office was hired as the closing attorney for the lender I selected & the closing was completed in his office. When closing on a real estate deal there is an extensive amount of paperwork to review. The table we sat at was extremely small and myself & my attorney were on top of each other. Since the table was so small this delayed the efficiency of reviewing the paperwork & made the closing process more time consuming. Diego sent an outdated real estate survey to my attorney and did not provide the correct & updated survey until the day of the closing when my attorney brought the matter to his attention that the survey he received two weeks prior was not the same. The outdated survey my attorney received was missing extremely important information of the dimensions of the property we were purchasing. After he acknowledged the error he was rude & advised that we didn't have to close the deal. (The closing attorney is responsible for providing an accurate & updated survey to the buyers attorney. REAL ESTATE 101) At this time we were not finished with the closing & shortly after Diego advised that he had to leave our closing because he had another appointment & could make some calls from his car & walked out. In my opinion this was disrespectful & unethical. Lastly our lender required that our insurance binder be paid in full prior to the closing and our attorney provided a paid in full receipt to his office. Diego sent my insurance reimbursement check to my insurance agent when he should have mailed it to my attorney. When I called his office they told me to mail the original check back to his office and once they received the original check they would reissue another one. I advised that this was a time consuming process and was counterproductive to fix the error that was made. Overall Diego and his office did a horrendous job with the closing. Hiring an attorney is expensive and if your going to pay for services I would recommend hiring a professional attorney that would not make these amateur mistakes."
