"Millbrook Family Eyecare is conveintly located. That said, it is not worth it. Eye exam went well or so I thought. Woman who assists with the glasses was horrible. Attitude, not helpful and pressured me into making a decision. Long story short, 3 months after my exam, I finally have a pair of glasses that work. The first frame was a disaster. I got it adjusted 5+ times before I insisted on I a new frame. I was actually told “maybe your eyebrows are uneven”. Nasty comments from woman about this is a one time deal replacing my frames. After picking up my new glasses and wearing them for a bit, I realized the prescription was not correct. I went back to get a recheck. Prescription was way off. Again, Nasty comments from woman about this is a one time deal."
"Like the doctor but the office staff is in bad. Took mom there and they could not find her file, it was in the garage. When asked for a chair with arms, was told "we don't have any",so you make an 80 year old handy cap that can barely walk stand. The doctor went into his office and got a chair. When ordering glasses she felt pressured into getting things that she didn't want. Brought bad glasses because they were not right and was told very rudely and "you only get one redo so some make sure this is you want ". Will be looking for a new eye doctor."
"My entire family uses them. Top notch!! Receptionist extremely nice. Drs everyone not one darn complaint. Easy accommodation for appointments. You never feel rushed.. this included the staff who works with the glasses etc. amazing highly recommend"
"I love this practice! When I first came to Millbrook Family Eye Care I was living in a temporary situation about 30-40 minutes away. Now, I live a 90-minute drive from there, but I decided to stay with them instead of looking for another doctor because I was so happy with the care I got there. I love that the staff is made up almost entirely of women. Everyone in the office is so friendly, patient, and helpful. I previously had the same eye doctor for over 20 years where I used to live, so it means a lot to me to have found a practice where I feel so at home. They are worth the drive! I highly recommend them!"
"Not an independent eye doctor... get ready to be pressured into buying glasses from their boutique. I recently visited Dr. Steven Cohen at Millbrook Family Eyecare for an updated prescription, including a PD, as I needed to purchase specialized glasses for a sport a participate in which required an updated prescription and pupillary distance ("PD"). Generally the experience was fine, the receptionist was polite and helpful, the wait time reasonable, and both the doctor and his assistant were pleasant. I also had the benefit of learning my eyesight had improved to the point where I no longer really need corrective lenses! Unfortunately, all of this goodwill was lost when the doctor sat me down in what appears to be an affiliated / connected optical boutique (I had mentioned maybe keeping glasses to drive at night). When I told Deborah, whom I believe is the optometrist, that I did not intend to purchase a pair of glasses that day she directed my back to the receptionist to pay for my appointment. I asked Deborah for my PD, which I had told the doctor's assistant I needed during the eye exam and she indicated would be provided, Deborah told me that I would only be provided my PD measurement if I purchased a pair of glasses from them. She also got very aggressive about whether I intended to purchase glasses from somebody else, to which I informed her it was my right as someone who had just gone to an independent eye doctor for an exam and prescription. Deborah told me I could have my prescription, but that it would not include a PD, and only she as the optometrist could give me my PD. I told the doctor's receptionist that I would refuse to pay for my appointment and prescription unless I was provided the PD measurement I had specifically stated as one of the reasons for the appointment. Low and behold, Deborah provided me with a prescription including a PD. When I asked how she could do so without taking a measurement, she informed me that it was in fact part of the exam and part of the prescription. Sadly, I will not be going back to Millbrook Family Eye Care, which is unfortunate because most of the experience was quite pleasant."
